I rented 4 houses in Brasada Ranch for a weeklong stay with this home being our central home for cooking. Communication with the other 3 homeowners was easy, and the process was seamless… with AvantStay (the manager of this property) the communications we’re obviously automated and it took 3 messages on my part to get one message back that made sense. This is what communication was like throughout, it was definitely not the 5 star experience that I paid for or expected.
If that was the only hiccup, I would give them 4 stars, BUT the backyard grill didn’t work (on day one it kind of cooked, day two it was done) and midway through our stay the hot water went out… no hot water for showers, dishes, laundry etc. so the beautiful bathtub sat unused… they did offer to let our party move to another property 20 minutes away (a day after I first let them know the hot water and grill weren’t working), but I didn’t get any information on the size or type of house that it was, so I was nervous to move our party of 9 adults and 5 kids to this new unknown house. Also, they were obviously trying to get the house ready for their next guest, because in the morning of the day we were going to leave we had to get up early, and move our cars so that the plumber could get it fixed for the next guests… I also got another automated text about making sure we were out by 11 AM sharp (we were) so that the next guests arrived. For the price point of this VRBO, it was annoying and not very professional.
Lastly, it is advertised as 5 bedrooms, but it is NOT 5 bedrooms… it’s 4 bedrooms and a game room with no curtains, that has a pullout couch that a spring fell out if while we were there… I felt bad for the family that had to stay in that room.
I would give it 2.5 stars if I had the option to do that, but I can’t… and I do think 2 stars is too little.
The house was beautiful, and they had pack n plays and a high chair for us when we got there… but for poor/weird communication and failure to fix a HUGE issue or make up for it in a satisfactorily way… I give 3 stars.
