Casa RivaMare is a comfortable apartment in the heart of Porto Recanati, facing the sea a stone's throw from the beach. The house has a simple and modest style, it is located on the ground floor and has 4 steps to access it and offers 6 beds in total divided into a double bedroom, a bedroom with two single beds, a sofa bed, a complete bathroom and an equipped kitchen .Casa RivaMare is a perfect solution for families and groups of friends who want to spend their holidays on the famous Conero Riviera, confirmed as Blue Flag for several years now. with the convenience of leaving home and being a few steps from the beach. All main services such as supermarkets, bars and restaurants which are available within a 10 minute walk.Urban bus stop 500 mPorto Recanati railway station 2 kmMarche airport 32 kmPorto Recanati is the northernmost coastal town in the province of Macerata.BEACH TOURIST OFFERThe central strip of the coast is characterized by beaches that tend to be stony, but also sandy, and the sea is steep. The area, located near Monte Conero, is completely flat and this makes it very suitable for walks along the seafront; moreover, the peaceful and serene environment enjoyed by the area make it suitable for family tourism. Modern bathing establishments with playgrounds for children, the possibility of practicing water sports, three cycle paths (along the Potenza river, near the Sorbelli provincial road and in the Scossicci area) make Porto Recanati one of the most popular seaside resorts in the Marches.WHAT TO VISITThe town offers some important evidence of its past. In the main square stands the medieval Swabian Castle, donated by Frederick II to the city, which houses the "Attilio Moroni" Municipal Art Gallery on the first floor. The large courtyard houses the Beniamino Gigli arena, named after the famous tenor from Recanati who, during the summer season, becomesstage for a wide range of musical events. The maritime tradition of Porto Recanati is well documented in the Museo del Mare, which is located in the complex of the former fish market, a modern structure on two levels built between 1975 and 1980 next to the old fish market.South of the city is the archaeological area of the Roman city Potentia, near which the remains of the Abbey of Santa Maria in Potenza, founded by the order of the Crucifers in the 12th century, are visible. In the Scossicci valley stands the small church of the Banderuola, built on the site where, according to tradition, the Holy House (today kept in the famous Sanctuary of Loreto) stopped for the first time during its translation to Italy. In the Montatrice area stands the Art Nouveau Villino Terni, whose hall and ground floor were frescoed by the local painter Biagio Biagetti.A typical dish of the town in the Marche region is the brodetto, a single fish-based dish. The Porto Recanati variant involves the absence of tomatoes and the addition of zafferanella or zafferanone (wild Conero saffron) which gives the dish a yellowish colour.LE MARCHE - ITALY IN ONE REGIONITALIAN SECRETLe Marche is one of Italy's best kept secrets. Sandwiched between the Adriatic and its better-known neighbors Tuscany and Umbria, this quiet, sparsely populated region has long slipped under the travel radar. However, with an array of charming hill towns and a landscape that ranges from the snow-capped peaks of the Apennines to dreamy beaches and otherworldly caves, it's the perfect place to experience Italy without the crowds. Exceptional for their geometric shapes and imposing appearance, Italy's castles are not only awe-inspiring, but absolutely stunning, a splendor best seen in person. Interestingly, no two castles are alike and each one has unique characteristics which correlate with historical events, natural surroundings and political changes over the centuries.RICH HISTORYFew countries in the world are pervaded by such a strong sense of historical continuity as Italy. From the myths surrounding the birth of the Etruscan civilization to the founding of a united Italy in the 19th century, past and present are inextricably linked in a seamless web that spans over three millennia. This short story provides a thread to guide you through the labyrinth of this complex story. You will find more detailed local history on the individual city pages.RESTAURANTSLe Marche is centrally located on Italy's east coast, nestled between the Apennines and the Adriatic Sea. The region is characterized by a rugged mountainous interior and a beach-lined coastline, dotted with quaint seaside towns. These variations in the region's geography are also reflected in its food; seafood is popular, along with rural delicacies such as wild mushrooms, venison, nuts and herbs, and the region's prized truffles. Coniglio in porchetta, rabbit stuffed with wild fennel is a revered regional specialty, and the traditional porchetta made with suckling pig and stuffed into rolls is a popular street food.Autumn in the MarchesIf you don't love hot days and you love beautiful and mild sunny days, when the sun gently caresses your skin and your senses, inviting you to spend time outdoors, why not take the opportunity of a holiday in the Marche in fall?THE SCENT OF THE HARVESTEspecially in the first part of autumn, the scents of the grape harvest invade the Marche hills. With the must are made the typical soft donuts that are found in many local pastry shops, biscuits with must, perfect to serve with "cooked wine" (literally "cooked wine") and "sughetti" (a sort of polenta made with must, cornmeal and walnuts). When the must is cooked for a long time, sapa is produced: it is a sweet and sticky ingredient perfect for seasoning polenta and making cavallucci (typical local biscuit). In Montecassiano the gravy festival takes place in the last week of September. At the beginning of October, the oldest Grape Festival in Italy is held in Cupramontana: it is a celebration with food, music, dancing and, of course, Sir Wine.OLIVE COLLECTION AND OLIVE OILOne of the most magical moments in the Marches, and in Italy in general, takes place at the end of October / beginning of November: this is the month of the olive harvest, when you will see many people working around the olive trees to collect the precious fruit. Don't hesitate: the new oil, with an intense green colour, is immediately ready to be tasted and purchased. If you have friends who have a farmhouse in the countryside with an olive grove, ask them to invite you for the harvest: it will be a nice moment to share with your friends and then you can take the olives to the mill and watch the production of your olive oil.THE FOLIAGE OF THE CANFAIT BEECH FORESTIf you want to experience colours, then you cannot miss the Canfaito beech forest: every year you can enjoy the same and always different spectacle of the beech leaves that change colour. You will feel like under a golden dome made of yellow, orange and red leaves. Enjoy a relaxing walk under the beech trees and don't forget to stop in Elcito, a tiny unspoiled village, where you can breathe an atmosphere of other times, when the shepherds woke up at dawn, spent the whole day out with their animals, eager to come home and find some warmth by the fireplace with their families.MEDIEVAL VILLAGESVisiting the many medieval villages scattered throughout the Marche can be a real challenge under the August sun, but doing it in autumn, when the air is still warm and the sun illuminates the stones that make up the city walls, has a totally different charm. Stroll through the alleys of the Marche villages, where a beautiful panorama awaits you at every corner. Difficult to recommend a village: just turn off the satellite navigator, follow a less traveled road and you will certainly find a quiet and nice village to welcome you.CHESTNUT FESTIVALThe good and sweet scent of roasted chestnuts is one of the most pleasant in autumn. You can go looking for chestnuts ourselves and then cook them at your home or, if you are not sporty enough, in October there are many chestnut festivals, especially in the Sibillini area, where chestnuts are roasted along the streets and you can buy a cone. The most famous chestnut festivals in the Marches are in Smerillo and Montemonaco. Smerillo is also particularly famous for being one of the balconies of the Marche region: thanks to its elevated position, it is possible to admire wide panoramas, which extend from the Sibillini mountains to the sea, passing through rolling hills and medieval villages.TRUFFLEAutumn also offers another delicious, sought-after and highly appreciated product: the truffle. There are two most important events in the Marche region dedicated to truffles: the National White Truffle Fair in Acqualagna and Diamanti a Tavola in Amandola, dedicated to the prized white truffle of the Sibillini. The most famous chestnut festivals in the Marches are in Smerillo and Montemonaco. Smerillo is also particularly famous for being one of the balconies of the Marche region: thanks to its elevated position, it is possible to admire wide panoramas, which extend from the Sibillini mountains to the sea, passing through rolling hills and medieval villages.THE CONERO AREA IN PEACEOk the temperature is not suitable for swimming but the Conero without the summer crowds allows you to have many experiences, from cycling to walking (we especially recommend two excursions: the belvedere up to Passo del Lupo, and the one from the Belvedere) as beyond to visit the towns of Sirolo and Numana.Discover Le Marche and start building your trip!MARCHE - THE BEST OF - THE UNMISSABLE PLACES OF MARCHEhttps://www.turismo.marche.it/it-it/Vivi/Luoghi-imperdibili-delle-MarcheTHEME ITINERARIESMARCHE IN BLUE - THE MOST BEAUTIFUL BEACHES OF THE MARCHEhttps://www.turismo.marche.it/it-it/Vivi/Marche-in-BluTHE GENIUS OF MARCHE - ART AND CULTUREhttps://www.turismo.marche.it/it-it/Vivi/The-Genius-of-Marche-Arte-e-CulturaMADE IN MARCHE - CRAFTSMANSHIP AND LOCAL TRADEhttps://www.turismo.marche.it/it-it/Vivi/L-arte-del-saper-fareROLLING HILLS AND ANCIENT MEDIEVAL VILLAGEShttps://www.turismo.marche.it/it-it/Vivi/Dolci-Colline-e-Antichi-BorghiTHE GREEN MARCHE - NATURAL PARKS AND RESERVEShttps://www.turismo.marche.it/it-it/Vivi/Parchi-e-Natura-AttivaTHE MARKS OF THE SOUL - SPIRITUALITY AND MEDITATIONhttps://www.turismo.marche.it/it-it/Vivi/Spiritualita-e-MeditazioneLE MARCHE FOR CHILDREN - ITINERARIES AND PLACES FOR FAMILIEShttps://www.turismo.marche.it/it-it/Vivi/Marche-FamilyLE MARCHE DELLA SCIENZA - THE PLACES OF SCIENCE AND TECHNIQUEShttps://www.turismo.marche.it/it-it/Vivi/Scienza-e-TecnicaWELLNESS MARCHE - SPA AND WELLNESS CENTERShttps://www.turismo.marche.it/it-it/Vivi/Terme-e-BenessereMARCHE CINEMA - FILM TOURISTIC ITINERARIEShttps://www.turismo.marche.it/it-it/Vivi/Marche-CinemaTHE MARCHE ON FOOT - TREKKINGhttps://www.turismo.marche.it/it-it/Vivi/TrekkingBRANDS BY BYKEhttps://www.turismo.marche.it/it-it/Vivi/Marche-By-BikeBRANDS BY MOTORCYCLEShttps://www.turismo.marche.it/it-it/Vivi/Marche-in-motoFree parking in the street behind the apartment
