Peaceful oasis in vibrant city

This is a characterful and spacious apartment with a peaceful rear garden, where we enjoyed relaxing after a busy day of exploring the city. We liked the location very much and our host was very helpful.

Excellent stay, would book again

Newly renovated property that’s professionally cleaned with a usable kitchen. Location is usually walkable to a multitude of restaurants and bars without being next to them and overly rowdy or loud. Host was very responsive during our stay and had a baby crib ready to go when we checked in. I would definitely recommend to friends and stay here again.

Excellent property

We stayed for 1 week. The property is really nice, you get the feeling that it has not just been furnished to rent out but that thought and good taste has gone into it.It also seems bigger that the impression you get from the photos. The location is just outside of centre meaning that the immediate area is not too busy but it has many restaurants and bars nearby. It has a good bus service right outside the door and is close to Trindade, the main Metro station. Easy access from the airport. Eliana, the host is easy to contact, very helpful and replies very quickly. We really enjoyed staying at The Yellow House.

Lovely apartment close to metro

Lovely apartment in a quieter area of Porto, a quick walk to the metro station and only 1,2km walk to the river and many local attractions. Jose was a good host and very accommodating. One small niggle was the ‘ghost’ in the plumbing system - the building is old, so perhaps this just cold pipes, but at night it can be annoying.

Fall stay

Good location, extremely beautiful apartment, clean but there was a strong mildew or musty smell in the bathrooms that had to be aired out each time we came back to the apartment. Nice grocery store and coffee shop close by.

A Beautiful Retreat in Porto

This charming and beautifully situated apartment is an ideal spot for anyone interested in exploring Porto. The apartment is well designed with everything one could want for preparing meals, enjoying coffee or wine in the courtyard and then setting out to see the amazing sites in Porto. Located a short walk from the metro, it also has a stop for two bus lines right out front. There is a grocery store across the park and a small restaurant next door. The bedrooms were roomy and very comfortable with doors leading into the courtyard. While in a central part of the city, it is at the back of an apartment building so the apartment itself is very quiet. The hosts, Eliana and Jose were easy to contact and very accommodating. We will stay here again on our next trip to Porto and recommend it to anyone we know coming to this lovely city.

The Very Best

A fine welcome to Oporto

Our first stop on a 2 week journey around Portugal gave us a feeling for the city. The area is very good for settling in after a long flight. And the flat is very spacious and easy to live in. The owner is wonderful; helpful and fun. It has a great private garden which adds to the whole vibe. Good location for walking around the city with a supermarket just across the square.

Great stay in Porto

A relaxing stay at this property - close to the centre and with easy access to restaurants bars & attractions. Eliana gave some fantastic recommendations for eating out. We had access to a lovely garden and the property was spotlessly clean and had all we needed. Thank you!!
