Summary:
Stay in a stylish one-bedroom apartment in a historic Porto building, steps from Clérigos Tower and Cordoaria and Virtudes Gardens. Full of character, it features a unique layout with a private toilet plus open sink & shower, and no lift - just like many heritage buildings. Surrounded by cafés, shops, and landmarks, it’s an ideal base for couples or friends to enjoy Porto’s history, culture, and vibrant atmosphere right at their doorstep.
The Space:
The Cordoaria homes are owned by our good friend Francisco that has embraced the mission to renovate classical old buildings in Porto’s downtown. Francisco is a modern romantic – you can find him driving an electric scooter around the city or starring at a facade detail in one of Porto’s historical buildings.
We furnished, decorated and stocked the apartment with products made by young Portuguese designers, artists and producers, so you can feel Porto’s heart without leaving home, while supporting small scale entrepreneurs.
Guest Access:
The apartment is located on the 1st floor and accommodates up to 2 people and has all amenities needed for you to feel at home.
The Neighborhood:
Staying by Cordoaria means being surrounded by some of Porto’s most iconic sights. Just around the corner rises the Clérigos Tower, whose bells mark the rhythm of the city, while the lush Cordoaria Gardens offer a peaceful green escape where students, artists, and locals gather.
The neighborhood is full of character: cobbled streets lined with traditional cafés, wine bars, and restaurants, historic churches and museums, and the famous Lello Bookstore - all within minutes on foot. From here, the city’s main landmarks are easily reached: the Ribeira by the Douro River, São Bento Station, and Avenida dos Aliados are just a short stroll away.
It’s a lively, central area that blends history, culture, and daily life, making it the perfect place to experience Porto’s charm up close.
Getting Around:
Right in front of the building you'll find the hop on hop off bus for you to explore the city in case you have lazy feet :)
