Disappointed customer
I have to blame VRBO for this one. They have this property listed on their website as available, with no knowledge of the owners contact information being correct or working. I booked the property online, got all the confirmations and address of the property. 1 week before arriving i tried reaching out to the host with no success. I contacted customer support(VRBO) and was told, hosts usually reach out a day or 2 before arriving. That never happened. I was left stranded that night, because my flight reached late because of delays and VRBO was of no help to me. If I had canceled my reservation VRBO and the owner of the property would have charged me for canceling. My question is, why wasn't I compensated for all the inconvenienced caused to myself and family for the 9 days I paid for? I am so disappointed in this patform(VRBO) for not doing a better job in making me feel comfortable using the VRBO again. It happened twice and all now no one has reached out to say or do anything to reassure me that I wasn't scammed or it was a legit client and they have removed or penalize them for this inconvenienced.
