Room was modern and very clean but simple with no soft furnishings. UK, Euro and USB power outlets were provided, a small TV with English news and a balcony with chairs and table. The location is good, it’s a short walk to shops, restaurants and bars, a bit further to the beach. Staff were friendly and helpful and breakfast was great.

Lovely hotel just a few minutes walk to the town centre and another couple of minutes to the beach or seafront harbour. The staff are amazing and the breakfast is good too. The pool area isn’t too big and sometimes if it’s busy, it’s difficult to get a sunbed but over all I would definitely recommend it and I will very likely return 😀

The reception staff were lovely and amazing. 💕 didn’t have the best experience at the breakfast buffet as I have a nut allergy, and basically was told to only eat bread. But the hotel manager did respond to this and informed me there are nut free options which was nice. Also I was travelling solo and the I felt very safe. Would recommend to other solo travellers. Plus the location is perfect under 10 min walk to the beach.

Pool area was in poor shape missing and chipped tiles not maintained pool broken and dirty sun-loungers no chlorine or daily testing these issues were brought up with reception but nothing was done

The hotel and property is very basic by modern hotel standards and is starting to look its age. It is not unpleasant or unkempt, it is simply lacking charm and ambience. The location is convenient because it is an easy walk to a full supermarket or to the town of Alvor with its many bars, restaurants and shops. I wouldn't dissuade anyone from staying here, just be prepared for average.

2nd short break here this year. We love Alvor and this hotel is in a great location and easy walking distance to the great restaurants and bars in the centre. We had a lovely view from our balcony and the free breakfast was really nice. We upgraded to a deluxe room from a standard this time and it’s worth the extra money for the balcony and extra space (standard is very small). Only negative - the sunbeds around the pool are really uncomfortable - probably why we never had a problem getting one. I’m considering bringing a camping mat for it for future stays - we’ll be back!

Very clean newly built room. No kettle but everything very modern and well serviced. Pool was very warm and relaxing. Only problem was that they were still building on the hotel everyday as it's not completed yet so lots of noise. Breakfast was not good. Very basic and synthetic juice. Not what we would expect for a 4 star hotel so we're very disappointed. weren't able to enjoy the 4 star hotel as it should be as there was also no restaurant. The bar is not a real bar just a tiny section from the front desk. Other than that we had a very pleasant stay in this rather quiet area of town.

Our third stay at Agua Jardim. Highly recommend for a short stay, but if having a longer holiday you might prefer somewhere more luxurious. There are many varieties of rooms, some don’t have balconies so ensure you check if that’s a priority for you. We had a studio (with small balcony) and a small ‘kitchen’ but it has limited facilities if you plan to cook. We just needed a fridge and kettle with cutlery/plates/bowls so had what we needed. You couldn’t prepare a cooked meal, very few pans or any other essentials. The pool area is fine for a quick swim and sunbathe, but the sun-beds are not comfortable to lay out all day. Usually no problem finding a sun-bed in full sun or shade. Breakfast is complimentary 8-11 everyday and has a nice variety of hot/cold buffet and friendly staff, can’t complain when it’s free. As long as the prices remain competitive, we’ll be back again. Great location and we love Alvor as a resort. Best beach and good restaurants.
