"The cabin was small but lovely, and mostly clean. We were disappointed to find the pull out couch grimy and the mattress within littered with debris - and not made up. It was also uncomfortable, although the bed in the bedroom was great. We found the linen to make up the pull out, but about linen - there was only one hand towel supplied for 3 people for 3 nights! Other minor things like the left front burner on the stove didn't work, nor did the toaster. Host said she is having these issues addressed. We couldn't ignite the barbeque, but the propane fire pit worked great and was fun for evenings on the deck. There was an odour of sewage outside that came and went, and host said that too is being addressed. We had hoped to stargaze, but marine fog was ever present - a local told us that August is known as "Fogust" so other times of year may be better for that. Nearby beaches and forest make Port Renfrew a spectacular place to visit."

"Great location overlooking the ocean. Could use one or two additional deck chairs to enjoy the view. A sofa bed in living room would also be a nice touch. Lots of cooking and eating/drinking ware was nice."

The Great Escape - Port Renfrew - Cottage - secluded with Private Hot Tub

"The cabin was clean, pretty secluded (last cabin on the road, forest on one side), and has a nice view of the ocean from the deck and hot tub overtop of the other cabins in the neighborhood. But the sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable for adults (my 10yr old thought it was fine), and when it was open it blocked the entire living room floor so you had to crawl over it to get in/out of the front door. Technically one could sleep 4 people in the cabin, but it wouldn't be a comfortable fit! Having Netflix included on the TV in the living room was nice, but it disconnected partway through our stay.Note that Port Renfrew is the last city at the end of the highway, and only has one small local grocery store. Selection is limited and prices much higher than we were used to. Wish we had brought more in our cooler."

"This place is perfect! Small and cozy, gorgeous setting, super well appointed home. We enjoyed sitting on the deck surrounded by the trees and using the bbq and hot tub. It was a great launchpad for exploring the many beautiful trees and beaches in the area."
