Best place to stay in Port Macquarie

A must stay! Leo and the team are masters of hospitality. Everything was perfect from the location on the river to the amazing conditions of the property. And the food, simply the best. If you are in the area, you must give them a visit.

This place is spotlessly clean, in a great location on the water and a short drive to the town centre. Our host Leo was unobtrusive who cooked and served us a delicious breakfast. I can’t think of any ways to improve our stay. This is one of the best b&b’s you’ll ever stay in.

We had the most wonderful stay at Ana Mandara Luxury Retreat. Leo, our host, went above and beyond to make us comfortable and feel welcome after a difficult roadtrip from Brisbane. A delicious dinner, candles lit, and wine poured, greeted us on arrival, followed by the best night sleep in the most comfortable bed and spacious room. Breakfast was such a treat too. Highly recommend!

The overall service was excellent. In particular the attention to detail in every aspect of our stay. Breakfast was amazing. We chose Ana Mandara because it advertised accessible accommodation and in regard to this, it did not disappoint. I would highly recommend Ana Mandara to anyone with mobility issues.

Very comfortable room with lovely views over the Hastings river. Well appointed lounge. Excellent hosts. We dined in and had friends join us for a gourmet evening meal prepared by Leo - highly recommended. Breakfast also very nice.

Wonderful people, wonderful place.

The most gracious hosts in Australia! A wonderful location, and a very pleasant room. And a hospitality above and beyond our expectations. Leo greeted us with sparkling wine and home made paté offering oysters and dinner. A wonderful breakfast and such a warm host couple. We loved it.

Wonderful hosts - so friendly, helpful and accommodating. The property is very clean and well maintained with all amenities needed and comfortable beds. Leo cooked us some great meals and Jenelle shuttled us to town and helped with anything we needed. We were in town for Ironman and the location was close to town. We would not hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend to others. We are avid travelers and this is one of best vacation properties we’ve stayed at.

Wonderful

This is a wonderful guest house. The hosts are extremely hospitable and friendly, and everything is modern, clean and in perfect working order. When we arrived we were offered nibbles and wine...the host is actually a professional cook...and made to feel like family. Breakfast the next morning was very nice as well, and especially pleasant and relaxing looking out over the river. We could only stay one night, but wished we could stay longer. We will definitely remember this place and stay again whenever we return to Port Macquarie.

The hosts Jen and Leo were so warm and welcoming, we woke up to delicious gourmet breakfasts from Leo. They were like family suggesting good spots and beaches and were very kind throughout. The rooms are very clean and always kept like that, the hotel faces the gorgeous Hastings river. Would love to go back soon.

Truly wonderful luxury B&B

Ana Mandara meaning ‘beautiful refuge’ is exactly that!!! The hosts Jennell and Leo were the perfect hosts from the start of our stay to the end. Leo is also the chef, the three course breakfast and dinner on both nights were delicious. My husband and I both felt very much at home at this beautiful place we even got a visit from the native wildlife, a very loud green frog named Kermit And a kangaroo family in the back garden😀would highly recommend this unique, beautiful place❤️

Fabulous place to stay

We had a lovely stay at Ana Mandara! Jennell and Leo were great hosts and our room was very clean and comfortable. We loved how quiet the location was, facing the river we saw dolphins while eating breakfast.

Absolutely perfect stay in a wonderful property and idyllic setting. We visited in "winter" and were treated to a 20 deg C afternoon and spectacular views over the water from our room (#4)'s balcony. Jennell and Leo were aces; the former with her hospitality, travel advicel; and kind offer to drive us to and from dinner in town. Leo was equally friendly and helpful, and his cooking -- we only ate breakfast, and regretting passing up the in-house dinner -- was truly on-par with a high-end restaurant. We would return in an instant, and wish we'd spent more than one night at Ana Mandara. Highly recommended.
