The Falcons Nest is an old fav for us, bit of a Faulty Towers but is currently being refurbished in many areas by the new owners.

The staff were very friendly and informative, The room badly needs modernising and the furniture updated, the staff did their best however the building is very shabby
The property was like a derelict building, the windows were filthy, there was old scaffolding holding it up from one side. Inside it stunk of damp, wallpaper was peeling from the walls, the carpets were filthy, the chair in the room was filth. The staff were unhelpful and dismissive. We left and had to find an alternative.
Excellent half term family vacation. Nothing was too much trouble, staff always welcoming and very efficient. Sunday carvery was great value, booking advisable. Amazing views over Port Erin bay from the conservatory. Beach two minutes walk.
The place needs work! The internet doesn’t work in the rooms opposite the ocean. Had to sit in the hallway outside the office to get internet. The TV had 2 channels that worked. Heat was off or not working so I had to use the portable electric heater in the room. And lastly the floor had soft spots like a board was going to break under the rug. Do yourself a favor and find another place!

Falcon's Nest is well situated by the coast in Port Erin. The staff are friendly and there's a nice old bar to drink in. Breakfast was very filling.
The decor is a bit shabby and hasn't been refurbished for a long time. Wifi connection in the room was patchy. The heating didnt seem to be on/working so was quite cold in the room in October.

September at the Falcons Nest IoM
The Falcons Nest is currently being given a much needed refurbishment as some areas are 'tired'. This did not detract from our stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. One downside is that no meals are available on Sunday evenings, we could only find one restaurant open on Sunday evening and that was in Port St Mary.
The Staff are the real stars here at The Falcon's Nest. Monique the Receptionist was extremely helpful at all times and her passion for the place was evident. The building itself was undergoing restoration which was suspended by the pandemic but the whole of the hotel was still in operation. The room was cleaned each day. The breakfast buffets were fantastic, especially Vic the waiter, who was most attentive. The restaurant food was good, freshly cooked and plentiful, especially the steak and ale pie which was to die for. The Breakfast room was once a beautiful ballroom with large chandeliers ans mirrors. Our room was on the corner overlooking the bay through a huge window and side window giving another view of the street and the length of the bay area. I gather thewre are other rooms without so much of a view but we paid for the 'Premium' room and it was well worth it. It was more like an apartment! It had a double bedroom with a four-poster, two easy chairs, Narnia-style wardrobe and everything needed. It had a separate smaller bedroom and a bathroom you could have danced in, all very nicely cleaned and laid out. Please bear in mind that this is not a new hotel and the last two years of shutdown have done it no favours but every effort is being made to catch up. This hotel is well-rubbed but is quirky and very comfortable. It has a well-stocked bar too.

Quirky budget option
Good, friendly service and quirky, interesting hotel. Cooked breakfast was fine as per a 2 star hotel. Rooms were rather hot and beds hard and springy. Bathroom had a good bath and hot water and the shower was ok. Location in the centre was excellent. Views from some bedrooms and a room by the bar were stunning. All in all we really enjoyed it but it is a budget hotel so don't expect high quality or you may be disappointed.

Lovely location
Lovely location for this hotel. Currently undergoing restoration o plastic on tge carpets everywhere. Food was good, breakfast was excellent. The only down side was no WiFi in the bedrooms and as I aas on a business trip it was inconvenient. Other than that it was good.
Unable to stay because of Covid-19, no flights, TT cancelled, hotel and all bars and restaurants closed, despite these conditions the hotel refused to refund £660, telling me to read terms and conditions, wonder if all Isle of Man hotels had the same attitude.
Unfortunately the condition of the hotel was so bad I couldn’t stay. The staff were very helpful, rooms quite clean but so cold and damp even with the old electric heater they brought me. Very old and poorly maintained - damp was clear to see, buckets in hallway collected water and plaster crumbled off walls and ceilings.

The staff were very friendly and hospitable. The room was very clean and plenty of tea and coffee which was replenished daily.
The communal areas and walkways did require a lot of work and attention.
Wonderful hotel - felt like home! Delicious breakfast.

I always post honest opinions in my reviews and we knew before we booked this hotel that it was in need of some TLC after a previous visit in 2016 but before you decide not to use this hotel read the rest of this review because what it lacks in up to date décor and a little bit of renovating it makes up for in the way every member of the staff are so friendly and helpful they even carried our cases up to or room for us as my wife is partially disabled and the food quality is excellent the breakfast is spot on and nothing is too much trouble for the staff if you would like something extra than what is laid out, and we don't normally eat evening meals in the restaurant. but we did and we did not regret it the food quality and service would rival many top hotels and if you do want up to date accommodation they have self catering Apartments over the Road, and for what its worth ive already booked to go back next August for the Manx GP/festival of motorcycling. first class staff ,hotel needs TLC
Une tv datant de 1982 et grande comme un confetti dans la chambre ...et télécommande en panne et non réparée durant les 3 jours...on ne vient pas pour ça mais c est énervant ..personnel agréable cependant
Staff friendly and very helpful especially when they realised I was not good with stairs and changed our room to a lower floor the day after arrival. Both rooms we experienced were a good size, very comfortable beds, bathrooms with a full bath and shower over. Breakfasts were self service with an endless supply of freshly cooked food, although the fried eggs were a little over cooked with hard yolks due to the heated containers, but all still tasty. We also had our evening meals in the restaurant; the food was excellent, service quick and efficient (one error with order, but quickly rectified) and reasonably priced with large portions. The building is old and in need of some decoration, but it is full of character, clean and comfortable with excellent staff.
Hotel is very dated, with wooden peeling window frames, around the bath/shower grubby/dirty, carpets thread bare, staff are friendly, I was upgraded, I’d hate to se what our origins room was like if what we stayed in was an upgrade, would not go back again
