A relaxing home away from home

Very nice place

It’s a good place but I just recommend they fix their Wi-Fi and make sure to have better TV channels. I also recommend instructions on how to use the DVD player.

Nice and Quiet

House was small but very comfortable. The location on a large inland lake was excellent with tons of water fowl to watch from the private cage enclosed pool. Spectacular sunsets too. Very quiet neighborhood.

Perfect retreat

Great location and quiet neighborhood. Nice view of the lake and you feel like you have your own private bird sanctuary. We saw an alligator in the lake and fantastic sunsets. Great location to many beaches and restaurants. Bathroom a little dated and tub does not drain well. We wound both definitely come back and recommend this charming house.

Great sunsets over lake

Very nice place in a quiet neighborhood .The heated pool was very nice although it was only really warm the first day. The rest of the week it was still ok, but not as warm as first day.The extra large lanai was fabulous. The house itself was very clean and provided all the essentials

Celebrating 60 years of friendship.

I had a truly wonderful stay in Port Charlotte! The home was spotless, comfortable, and exactly as it was described. The highlight for me was the pool which was very relaxing while enjoying the gorgeous sunset & Florida sun.The host was communicative, helpful and respectful of privacy. Everything I needed was provided. It was peaceful and yet close to shops and restaurants..I highly recommend this home to anyone who’s looking for a quiet, clean cozy place.I’d definitely return!Diana

Good Stay!

All was good and as advertised, however could use some washcloths in bathroom-could only find one. Also could use some plastic cups that could be taken out to the pool. A bbq grill would have been awesome!

Cozy,Cute and Clean

The house was really clean and welcoming. Lisa was great!! The house is smaller than the pictures look and would be great for adults with children. I was "cozy" for 4 adults. The driveway is not as long as it appears in the pictrues. It would have been nice to have had a bbq grill to use. The location was great and I would recommend this to friends.

NO Cancellation Policy

The pool area was very nice. The house lack cleanliness. We would not return because of the “NO Cancellation Policy”. We had to leave five days earlier because of COVID-19. I asked (using VRBO message) if we could receive a partial refund based on this international situation. He answered using his private email so VRBO would not see his answer. He also asked us to write a favourable review on VRBO but if we had any grievances we should send it directly to him.

Nice little house

We enjoyed our stay, the bed was very comfortable and the house was clean. Neighborhood very quiet with little traffic. Yard and lanai are very nice and view and bird watching was great! We did have a few issues. Tub/shower wouldn't drain properly. Light and fan in primary bedroom didn't work. Pool lights didn't work and couldn't adjust pool heater, although temp was good. Window coverings on one of the patio doors, has a bad pull, kept falling apart. The fan/light was fixed while we were there, after calling it in, as well as the bathtub issue with drain. I noticed it with the first shower, so it wasn't us that clogged it up. The caretaker and maintenance man were both super friendly and responsive to the tub and fan issue. The pool lights and heat has been an ongoing issue and hopefully will be fixed soon for other renters. We would rent again!

Relaxing stay near everything

What a beautiful home with an open and airy floorplan. All amenities you could think of were already in the house. The celing fans in every room made the AC feel even more effective. The pool was clean and set to a very comfortable temperature. Thanks go to Lisa for setting up a lockbox for my late evening check-in and thereby avoiding the late check-in fee. Lisa and Boris were on the spot with answering questions before I even thought them; I might suggest a simple guest book on-site to reference things like: wifi, pre-checkout cleaning expectations, trash night, and local restaurants / attractions. Overall a great place to spend a week away from work relaxing!

Relaxing with quality sunsets

Great little home on a small lake with very nice sunsets. The house was clean, we had almost everything we wanted, and the pool is heated - perfect temperature on the cool evenings. The only thing I missed was a gas grill, but this was my error; the description does not include a grill. No local channels on the television, but if you have a Netflix or Prime account, they are easily accessible. There are also lots of other free channels with ads available. Great music cassettes are also available with a nice tuner. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Quiet neighborhood. Clean, good value four our trip. Work/vacation in Punta Gorda which was 20 minutes away. Comfortable home and pool was a plus although we did not have time to use it on this trip.

Beautiful view!

Came here with my family, three in total. Loved the house, especially the view in the backyard. Swimming while watching the sunset was absolutely my favorite part. Overall, the house was clean and relaxing.

Everything we expected, no shortfalls here!

The property was everything the pictures promised. Kitchen area was very usable and all kitchenware was found on site. Bot bedrooms were not cramped and comfortable for a short stay. The pol area was key! Very clean and made the stay enjoyable and relaxing. The neighborhood is quiet and well kept, this is in a good part of town no doubt. All shops and restaurants, grocery within a 10 minute drive max. Denise the property assistant was very pleasant and helpful. We are re booking for November this year already. Don't delay... book this property if visiting this area!

March 2019 Lilsis Stay

The lakeside home location was very quiet with a western exposure heated pool. The home included a propane gas grill and a well equipped kitchen with a separate laundry room, all with new appliances. This was appreciated as we enjoy preparing most of our meals. Flat screen TV's are included in the living room and each bedroom. Each bed is equipped with comfortable foam mattresses. Perhaps best of all, beautiful sunsets each evening.
