A small exterior under Virginia creeper trellis at street level and a large balcony upstairs to read or have a drink. A comfortable living room (sofa and armchairs) with fireplace and radiator and an adjoining kitchen on the first floor as well as a toilet and a pantry.
Nice Provencal table in the kitchen to take meals, large buffet two bodies and vintage chairs give a neorustic look desired.
The kitchen is equipped with an electric stove (4 burners and an oven), a microwave oven, as well as two coffee makers (nespresso and electric coffee maker), a kettle, a vintage fridge in the cellar. A variety of crockery and pots in perfect condition if you want to cook!!
(there will be a dishwasher and a washing machine very soon). A travel iron in the pantry.

Upstairs two bedrooms and a bathroom: a large bedroom of 17m2 with a 160 bed, cupboard, antique secretary, Provençal armchair, mirror and old trunk, bright it has two windows.
A bedroom with two beds of 90cms that can be joined on request (for a couple for example) small storage for clothes.

the beds are of a reputable brand and the bed linen ecotex. towels and beach towels available.
Currently there is no internet access (no box) but you can use tethering from your phone for your computers or tablets.
We want smokers to smoke only in outdoor areas (ashtrays available).
We accept small, clean and well-behaved dogs!! no sleeping on the beds, thank you!
this house has been equipped with a choice of vintage objects to create a typical Provençal house that fits its situation as a village house, originally a grocery store on the first floor. It was built against the medieval ramparts.
There are free parking lots 50m away and a shop café nearby as well as the church with its beautiful paintings and altarpieces (the bell tower continues to mark the hours ding ding ding!) This small village of PONTEVES is away from busy roads, it is high and sunny, its intertwined streets are most often pedestrianised. The ruins of the castle offer an esplanade whose view extends over the surrounding forests.
you can walk from the village immediately along the marked paths and reach the monastery of St Joseph and the village of COTIGNAC as well as other massifs.
COTIGNAC is 15 klms away by road, very busy in summer for its site and restaurants and its Provençal market on Tuesdays.
BARJOLS is 2.5 klms away and offers the advantages of a market town (supermarket, doctors, college, restaurants and market on Sunday mornings) on a beautiful square shaded by plane trees, a game of boules brings together all year round the lovers of this Provençal game.
we live in a region called "Provence verte" because many small rivers bring their freshness, beautiful waterfalls are visible in Sillans the waterfall for example (15klms)
the village of CORRENS is to visit for its river and its climbing walls and its entirely organic territory.
the wines of the PONTEVES estates are very popular / you have to visit the estates and taste the chilled rosés and the whites!! the reds will suit with a cooler temperature!
at 25klms you reach the edge of the VERDON green river as its name suggests and the village of QUINSON offers a reservoir, gorges where you can ride pedal boats and electric boats.
prehistoric tribes have marked the territory and a contemporary museum (Foster architect) brings together the excavations of the Verdon.
following the VERDON you will find swimming areas, lakes, rafting, canoeing, villages made attractive by all this magnificent water and the sports that are practiced there.
all this about 30 minutes from the house.
without forgetting an unforgettable site, the village of Moustiers Ste Marie and its star between two walls, famous for its 18th century earthenware, this village is delightful and equipped with many restaurants including one of the famous Ducasse. From this village you can visit by a ridge road the famous gorges of the VERDON!with impressive peaks, hiking trails, vultures etc...
at the time of the lavender season, the QUINSON plateau in RIEZ offers its rows of fragrant and blue lavender like carpets to infinity (photos to be taken)in RIEZ village, Roman ruins and bourgeois houses with corbelling (14s) a beautiful market on Saturday mornings!
20klms from PONTEVES staying in the var we visit AUPS, capital of the truffle (truffle market on Thursday mornings from December to February) restaurants offer you to taste this excellent product and a Provencal market on Saturday morning.
