It was run down. It was dirty. Instead of curtain it had magazine pages tape to window. Sheets were stained. It was a dump our worse nightmare.

A Horrible Hotel

This is one of the worst hotels we've ever stayed in. The front desk staff were nowhere to be found. When a person finally showed up, she was incredibly slow, even though we had a reservation. The room was dirty and a window was stuck open during a storm with freezing rain. The beds were uncomfortable and there was no ice machine. The deadbolt lock on the door was broken. When we went to check out, we never did find a staff person to take the room key. The building appeared to be a grand old hotel at one time, but it has been sadly neglected. The franchise should check into the management of this hotel, as they are surely giving the franchise a bad name.

Disappointed

Spent the night. We noticed on check-in that it was an older motel. The key wouldn't fit the lock and finally got that issue resolved. Got in our room and the carpet looked like it had been vaccumed and the bed covers looked faded but clean as were the bed linens. However, you literally could move the dust and dirt on the furniture and venetian blinds with your finger. I do not enjoy writing negative responses (this may be the first). It was sadly disappointing.

What a wonderful, historic hotel! Really enjoyed my stay there. Wish I'd had more than 1 day!

False Advertisement

When I submitted my reservation I ordered a penthouse suite. What I actually got was a dumpy room on the first floor that the TV didn't work, the door didn't open and it smelled rancid. The place is very very old and probabaly hasn't been updated for decades.

Hola, el cuarto esta grande pero no tiene cafetera y no limpian el cuarto seguido y no ponen toallas limpias a diario, no me gusto y si volvemos no me pienso quedar en ese hotel. Gracias

Awful, all the way around

Let's see, where to start... There was a trash can catching water right in front of the entrance that also had wet trash in it, there was a full ash tray including empty coffee cups, empty cigarette packs and was overflowing right at the entrance, the walls were completely dinged up with marks, tv remote didn't work, no hot water for a shower, when I arrived to check in I had to wake someone up and they asked from the hall in their pajamas "what, checking in?" at 1030(not that late), the lock on my door was broken, and that was all just the things that were off the top of my head. Do not stay here.

This hotel would be perfect for a working/traveling person. Rooms were spacious but cable box was stolen, floors weren't vacuumed, toilet ran all night, hotel,only offered a dozen doughnuts along with one container of coffee. Desk personnel weren't always available no matter what time of day or night. If you aren't use to the train noise, it would keep you awake. But location was good for getting around the city. Don't expect a 5 star hotel,stay here. You get what you pay for. But this was better than not having a place to stay on such short notice. This was the only available hotel for our time there.

Overall-This hotel is a good place to sleep. Close to downtown area that closes up at 6:00 except for the wine bar on Grand Ave. Good deal for the price.

Blood stained carpets

As soon as we walked onto the second floor we noticed a trail of a blood stain down the hallway and the room was not any better. We decided to walk out and leave as soon as we walked in. I would not recommend this hotel.

not a good choice

Requested a smoking room,the girl checking us in acted like she didn't understand what I was saying,the smell of the hotel was horrid,soon as you walked in the lobby it hit you in the face,bad.it was almost 100 degrees outside and the hotel was like a sauna,got to our room it was no cooler,no ashtray,nasty smell.we changed clothes for the wedding we were attending,went to wedding went back to hotel,got our belongings and left,I wasted a free night,plus almost 10 dollars on this place.i will pay more next time for a name brand hotel and hope for better accommodations.

Odd

Located downtown Ponca. Staff barely speaks English and no one mans the front desk. It appears they live in a nearby room and venture out only occasionally? Took almost 5 minutes for someone to come help us check in. Really odd place. Will not return. To be fair though, the room was very large and clean.

We booked a room, we requested a pool They don't have a pool...the hotel is old Rooms are big...and very out of date. Parking is horrible The lady at the desk was very nice.

Antiquated, rundown, individual checking me in did not speak English very well. Hard to understand. Would not stay here again if you paid me.

I gave it a chance..

Comment: I am a traveler for work and I use Hotels.com most to book hotels. I am currently staying in a hotel I booked with your company. Knights Inn Ponca City. I would highly recommend this hotel be removed, It is AWEFULL!! There is a family staying here, I am not sure from what country they are from, hardly any speak english. There is about 50 of them here and they are the ones running it. They are constantly loud, letting the kids run wild, the place isnt very clean, the heater barely works, I had to get a space heater because it was 40 degrees in my room, then I couldnt get any hot water, I tried three times, I told them and they said they kept fixing it, finally I had to go in and inspect the knob and I fixed it myself. They dont clean rooms daily, they take up all the parking spots and dont leave any for customers. They hang out in the hallways and lobby, but there is never anyone at the front desk. Also they are all loud, playing drums and letting the kids run crazy til 3-4 in the morning, with no regard to guests, then they are back at it before 8 am. I have NEVER seen anything like this. It is the worst Hotel experience I have ever had!!!

Right down town

I was very apprehensive about staying here but it was all that was available at the last minute. My apprehensions were manifest when I walked in the lobby and there was no one at the front desk. The back door was where I was told to enter when I finally did get registered. This caused even more anxiety, because there was a stairway leading up to somewhere and down to somewhere as well all as an extremely unkempt rear entrance. I heard babies crying and people talking loudly. They bathroom was surprisingly clean and updated but the rest of the room was totally in need. The TV didn't work properly. One good thing is the WIFI connection is free and without need of a password all over Ponca City.

You don't always get what you want.

This hotel is really just a place to lay your head down. The hotel location is great because you can walk to downtown, but remember that most everything closes at 6. Rooms are not cleaned daily. You can never find a hotel staff member. We were supposed to have rooms with 2 doubles and all they had were 1 double & 1 twin so the comfort wasn't as we expected

Hotel in need of caring

We stayed for 3 nights in the hotel. It is located downtown Ponca City, just off the main drag. A highpoint of this hotel was that it was very quiet. Unfortunately, that was the only highlight. I would bet that several of the occupied rooms were rented long-term. The front desk was rarely staffed. If you needed something, you had to go to their room. Both entrances to the hotel were open 24 hours a day. The rooms were clean on the surface, but needed some deep cleaning. There were cobwebs in corners, dust on upper surfaces and gouges in the walls around the rocking chair. The bed sheets didn't fit correctly, but were clean. The doors to the rooms were secured with a normal key and someone tried to enter our room early morning of our first day. Luckily the safety latch was where it needed to be, so they weren't able to get in. When this was mentioned to the person in charge, she mumbled something about needing to find the spare key... The next 2 nights, I made sure the bolt was drawn. We will not be staying here again, even though the other hotels in the area are twice the price.

Excellently Updated Historic Hotel

I was shocked at how nicely this historic old inn had been redone. A new building could not have been any nicer yet it still had some charm of a historic inn. Each room was named after a person or event in Ponca City's history and had a few artifacts related to its history. It was very quiet and was fairly small but the room was large. There was no breakfast but there are places nearby to eat so it was no problem.
