The prime location of this appealing two-bedroom property, sitting off the main road between Pollença and Sa Pobla, means it’s just a short walk from the atmospheric cobbled backstreets of Pollensa Old Town with its tempting array of excellent restaurants, tapas bars, boutiques and vibrant Sunday market. Add to this the appeal of a small, neatly lawned garden fringed with citrus trees and palms, sparkling pool, built in barbecue with covered dining terrace and wonderful mountainside views that can be enjoyed from the comfort of your poolside lounger, it's no surprise that villa Ca Na Lida is a popular choice for those seeking convenience during their stay with everything close at hand.
Inside, the light and modern accommodation is equally inviting. Entry is via a wrap-around covered terrace, which shelters the front of the house and leads into an open plan, living space combining lounge, dining area and well-equipped kitchen with breakfast bar. The lofty high ceiling offers a feeling of light and space, calming neutral tones of crisp white walls, terracotta floor tiles and marble stone highlights are punctuated with splashes of colourful artwork; interiors are fuss free and comfortable.
On the ground floor is a twin bedroom and adjacent shower room. The attractive first floor double bedroom has mosquito nets at the window and an en suite shower room (no door) with lovely views across to the old town of Pollensa and dramatic skyline of the Tramuntana mountain range.
The heart of Old Town Pollença is virtually on your doorstep and there is so much to explore in this pulsating historic area where the annual calendar of cultural activities includes a diverse choice of exhibitions, processions, concerts, local festivals and sporting events.
The sandy coves of Cala Sant Vicenç and the impressive swathe of Pollença Bay are both within a ten minute drive and Pollença golf club is just along the road. Cyclists can choose from a variety of trails and terrains in the surrounding countryside while keen walkers are equally spoilt with easy access to many different paths around the Tramuntana foothills as well as some memorable scenic coastal routes.
Closer to home, a climb up the famous 'calvario' or along the serpentine track to the monastery atop Puig de Maria and you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking views across to the coastline.
Air conditioning usage (12 hours per day) is included in the rental rate. There are open tread steps in this property. Due to the design of the steps small children must be supervised at all times.
