Puerto de Pollença is located in the north of Mallorca. The bay offers kilometres of fine sandy beaches, some of which are protected from the wind by the Formentor peninsula. Unlike other holiday resorts on Mallorca, the coast is not completely built up with multi-storey hotel castles. Here you will find long sandy beaches lined with pine and palm trees, a wide selection of cafés and restaurants, clothing shops, supermarkets and doctors.
The old town of Pollensa is only 10 minutes away by car and is by far one of the most popular places in the north of Mallorca. Here there is a wide selection of exclusive restaurants and cafés that cater to the individual tastes of visitors.
Artists from all over the world have been coming to Pollensa for many years to be inspired by the landscape and the Serra de Tramuntana. The village's landmarks are the 365 steps and the Calvary, at the top of which is a small baroque chapel from the 18th century. Each step symbolises a day of the year.

In the Balearic Islands there is a tourist tax, called Ecotasa, which has to be paid for every guest over 16 years of age.
Per day and person, the tax is
from 1 November to 30 April: 0,55 euros and
from 1 May to 31 October: 2,20 euros.
From the ninth night onwards, this amount is reduced by half. The Ecotasa can be paid by credit card, bank transfer or cash. Payment is compulsory.
