"We had a nice time in Takaka and exploring the area. Comfy beds and a good size place for a family holiday. The house and surrounding gardens needed a bit of TLC. "The communication about the layout of the property could have been better. There is no internal access to the downstairs rooms. There is no WIFI - in this day and age - you really should have WIFI (especially for when the weather is inclement in Golden Bay - which is often is). "I actually tried to up-grade from "the Nest" - glamping to a cabin, but the staff said I should check it out as I might like it - I loved it. It was so inviting, romantic, pretty fairy lights inside and out. Excellent bed. Everything needed for a campfire provided. So cozy. Amazing view of the Pacific and incredible night sky."

"Eden's Edge Lodge is an excellent choice for exploring the Tasman area, Kaiteriteri beach, etc. It is part of a small orchard/farm, so sources its own fruit, herbs, and eggs for breakfast. Very pleasant and relaxing, yet only a five-minute drive from Matueka for restaurants and shopping."
