Fantastic as always

This home was absolutely beautiful, more than what we expected. It had everything we could possibly need. They thought of everything to make our stay comfortable. The bottle of wine and cheese trays was a nice surprise. Our Runquist host, Rocco was very friendly, personable and attentive to our needs. He helped make our trip pleasurable. We will definitely be back next year.

We used this house as our wedding weekend spot. My wedding party and I stayed here, got wedding ready here and just hung out and caught up. The house is laid out well, lots of room to chill. The kitchen is huge and lots of room for everyone. The fireplace and pool were great. We had a beautiful view of Di Stasio Vineyards where we had our wedding. Would definitely stay again!!

Awesome Weekend at The Runquist Vineyard House

All I can say is WOW! Staying at the R Vineyard House was an experience that we will never forget. Nestled in the Old Vine Zin Vineyards that were planted in 1890, it was so beautiful to enjoy a bottle of wine while watching the sunset and to relax around the pool watching the sunrise. With a huge kitchen, we had some fantastic dinners and breakfast while enjoying the scenery. A perfect weekend in the wine country. We had so much fun that we would like to rent again.

WINE TASTING WITH FRIENDS

The house was amazing — exactly or better than the pictures. Our local contact was great and responded to any inquiry we had immediately. The location was perfect — about 5 minutes out of Plymouth and surrounded by wineries in the rolling hills of Amador County. There were 7 of us and the house was very accommodating. We HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend this property.

The location was perfect if you want to do wine tasting. House was roomy and comfortable. Could have used more lighting in the living area. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen had everything you would need. No complaints on inside. Outside could use some TLC. Outside furniture was fine. A little pricey if you don't have 4 couples. Would go back again.

Wonderful house in Shenandoah wine country.

The Runquist house is the perfect wine country escape for groups looking to enjoy the Shenandoah Valley. The place is very spacious, well designed and furnished and is centrally located near many great wineries.We enjoyed the large wraparound decks to take in the view of vines that surround the property. We also spent some relaxing hours by the heated pool in back of the house.We had a couple of issues with the water service to the house, but Rocco had them addressed promptly. He even brought us a couple of bottles of wine for our trouble!The only complaint I heard from the friends that were staying with us was that the mattress in the front left bedroom needed to be replaced, as it had a big valley in the middle of it.Overall, it’s a 5 star property and we will definitely need be back next year.

We rented this property as our family home base as my daughter was getting married at a nearby venue. The home is well equipped, beautifully decorated and very spacious. It exceeded all our expectations. The property manager was flexible with our check in and out times which was a game changer for us! Incredible stay in wine country!

This house is absolutely incredible! It not only has everything you need, and is very comfortable, but it has wonderful outdoor spots to soak in the amazing views among the vines and it has a pool! It is a bit pricey, but if you get four couples in, it's really not bad when you think of all the money you save with food. They supply all you need in the kitchen, games to play, towels and rafts for the pool, a BBQ, umbrellas and shady spots, and plenty of parking. You can walk around the property and soak up the views, and it's walking distance to several wineries in the region. We all want to make this an annual thing to come back year to year. Thank you for this amazing place!

We had a wonderful time at the home. The living area was perfect for gathering and multiple decks, outdoor areas made enjoying the Spring weather and beautiful vineyards a wonderful way to start and end the day. We'll absolutely be back.

Wonderful vineyard retreat

This property was a perfect wine country getaway for my family — The house itself was well appointed with lovely furnishings, extremely comfortable beds, and an incredible wall of windows provided wonderful views of the vineyard. The terrace spans one entire side of the house and is fantastic for morning coffee or sunset viewing in the evening. And the pool was pristine and inviting every day. In addition, having the master bedroom well separated from the other bedrooms was a plus because it gave my in-laws their own wing in the house. Finally, not only can you easily drive to numerous wineries from the property, but you can easily walk to several from the house as well. Highly recommend!!!

Perfect Location

This property was beautiful in location which was huge for our group. It is a bit outdated and the casita is actually attached to the house, so it was silly there was an extra charge for it. The house could use a few more kitchen items, but overall we had a wonderful time!

Review of our Stay at Vineyard Villa

Hi There, For the most part our stay was wonderful. The few things I would like to mention are: Internet Id and Password: The password was incorrect that you have on your confirmation email. We had to look in the book which was provided inside the house for the correct password. In our opinion it is not reasonable to have to pay for a house rental a whole month ahead of time. My opinion was expressed to the owner. We could not swim in the pool at night as there was no access to the pool lights or the flood lights on that side of the house.

Terrific Stay

We really enjoyed our stay and look forward to the next time we are able to do so! One thing I want to note...the pool never warmed up which was unfortunate as we didn't take full advantage of it as we were hoping to do. I did exchange multiple messages with Lori who mentioned that it was "heated by solar panels" which obviously wasn't working (I have those same panels on my own pool). Someone needs to go out and adjust the thermostat to allow for warming otherwise you're going to have the same issue with future guests.
