「The most beautiful room we have ever had with stunning sea views and a great roof terrace that gets very busy. The only disappointment we had was the pool which is very small and in a public area without guest lounging space so we felt uncomfortable to use it. The breakfast was fantastic and great value as it was included and the breakfast restaurant area is beautiful, again with lovely views however service was very slow. 」

「Kleines feines Hotel in erhöhter Lage auf dem Felsen in der Mitte zwischen den beiden Hauptstränden. Das Hotel ist hübsch, hat insgesamt nur 37 Zimmer auf 2 Gebäude (plus 2 kleinen Cottages) verteilt. Die Einrichtung ist relativ schlicht und mutet mit seinen vielen Blautönen schon fast nordisch an. Eleganz mit Understatement. Dazu ein nettes, ebenfalls schlicht gehaltenes Restaurant mit Aussenterrasse am Pool, gutes Dinner, fantastisches Frühstück. Minus: Die Zimmertür bot weder Licht- noch...

I wonder and hope this was a holiday price and other guests aren’t charged as much 」

「It is a magnificent property with great facilities. Well located enough. But Plattenberg is a plain soulless residential seaside town. No quality in terms of restaurants. The property is closed to shops, cafés and beach (if you don’t mind the very steep hike back). 」

「Room was lovely with a great view. Staff were friendly and welcoming and food in the restaurant was great. Tip would be book the restaurant in advance as it was really busy and we were unable to get a table for dinner.」

「In general the hotel is very run down. Things falling apart and dysfunctional, including pool area and umbrellas and gardens. The resort is in desperate need of serious maintenance. Also, no wi fi in rooms for a 4 star hotel is not really acceptable. Poor conditions somewhat compensated for by the first class and much appreciated service from Petrus and some of his staff -especially chef and Thabisa.」

「Village Square 6 was beautifully furnished as a self catering unit. It is spacious and has a beautiful ocean view and within a stone's throw from the main road with shopping and restaurant. It was well equipped with everything needed for a pleasant stay. I will visit again. 」

「Self catering room in cottage pie needs a renovation . The windows lead onto the street,so this would make it a security issue if one would like to sit outside. The bedroom is dark and gloomy the bathroom had a broken light. The overall facilities and the staff were very good 」
