The space
Our 120 plus year old home is a great mix of old and new. You'll be able to feel the history as you walk across the occasional creaky original floor board and look out at the stunning views.

You'll enter the house on the second floor and will be welcomed into the eat in kitchen, filled with everything you need to prepare a great meal. You'll then find the comfy living room where there is plenty of sitting room for the whole group to enjoy the amazing city views, lounge in front of the TV or play a board game!

This floor also has a spacious balcony overlooking the city with twinkle lights above. This is our favorite area to lounge, dine and BBQ.

Note: there is a queen sized blow-up mattress available to accommodate 2 extra guests. There are extra sheets, comforter and towels provided.

Upstairs you'll find the primary bedroom loft with a queen size bed, full bathroom, picture window, walk-in closet and laundry room. We ask that our guests be mindful that our charming old house has low & sloping ceilings upstairs.

Downstairs the second bedroom has a comfy full sized bed. At the end of the hall you'll find an office space and the full bathroom. IMPORTANT NOTE: Please be aware of the 6' ceilings in the bathroom.

The four seasons room is both a serene private workspace and a comfy spot to sit and enjoy the views of the city and the birds in the garden. This room connects to the 3-tiered fenced in backyard. We welcome up to 2 well behaved dogs with a $150 Pet Fee per dog.

Perfect for couples, friends & Fido, so don't be surprised if you find a dog hair or two.

Guest access: Guests have access to the entire 1300 sqft home and fenced in back yard.

Other things to note:

Parking: There is ONE free spot available directly outside the home, it is marked with white paint. There is additional free parking for further up the hill.

Mobility: Our historic home has many sloped and low ceilings (6' in downstairs bathroom) along with steep stairs inside and out. We kindly ask that our guests be mindful moving about!

Neighborhood: Our home is located on a diverse street in urban East Allegheny. It is walkable to many restaurants, coffee shops, parks and stadiums with a city feel. We have great neighbors and enjoy being close to the best of Pittsburgh. If you have any questions about the area, don't hesitate to reach out!

Families with small children: We would love to welcome your stay, however we want to make sure you’re aware that there are many steep steps around the home and back yard. The home has not been child-proofed, and there is a balcony and lower deck both with railings. The property features two showers and there is no bathtub.

TRASH & RECYCLING Place all open food/drinks in securely tied trash bags in the trash bins located outside of the house. Please be sure the lids are secured properly to avoid attracting animals.
LAUNDRY- PLEASE put dirty towels in the washer with soap and turn it on. (Do not overload). Please place used sheets on the floor by the washer.
AIR MATTRESS If you used the air mattress please deflate it and place it back into the bag and the closet. GRILL If you used the grill please clean it for the next guest to use.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

No leaning, sitting, pushing or standing on railings. Please keep children away from edge of the balconies.

This is a great location base yourself out of and see all Pittsburgh has to offer. They had everything you need to cook a great meal, relax in a warm sunroom or take in the incredible view of the city from the multiple decks. We’ll definitely be back the next time we are in town.

We really enjoyed our stay. The views of the city from the rear decks were amazing! The large, well equipped kitchen made meals easy and enjoyable. We were able to walk to some great dining spots, and easily drive to others. The beds were comfortable and we had everything we needed for our stay. Would definitely stay again!

The house was immaculate! We loved all the places to gather and be together, kitchen, living room and especially the outdoor deck with the stunning view of the city skyline. Great view and location

Great spot for visiting Pittsburgh with an incredible view of the skyline. Easy walk to PNC Park, Heinz Field and Strip District. Street parking is a bonus when have a vehicle. Host was very responsive and made check in easy with frequent communication.

Lovely property equipped with everything

In the city for daughter’s Pitt graduation and dinners. Property was located in a central area and easy to commute to downtown, Pitt campus and airport. Beautiful home with everything needed for our stay.

The view!

We had a wonderful stay here on a girls weekend. The beds are comfortable, the house was clean and the view is pretty spectacular. Communication with the owner was excellent. Some of the buildings in the area have seen better days, but the neighborhood was quiet and we felt safe.

Perfect Pittsburgh Spot

My family was visiting for a wedding and Vista Ave was the perfect home base for our crew. The house itself was so comfortable and the view of downtown was incredible. The location made travel and running around all weekend so easy. Our hosts made our visit very enjoyable - we'll be back!

Awesome Stay!!

This house is perfect for couples/ a family. It exceeded our expectations. The enclosed porch had a heater and was perfect for the cold weather and the open porch with the grill would be amazing in the warmer weather! There is a super cute bar within walking distance and the view was amazing. Overall great vibe!!

Adorable house in great location

We stayed for the weekend while visiting my daughter who is a freshman at Pitt. The house was so adorable and in a great, convenient location. Easy to get to campus and the football game. Communication with property owner was great and the views from the deck were amazing! Lovely home.

Great place in North shore

Overall a great experience. Was clean and comfortable and had a several nice things done by the owner including ice, a bottle of wine and coffee. We used everything except the ice. Fantastic views of downtown and the rivers. Would stay again but probably not the best place for those who are older or adverse to stairs. Nice little coffee shop down the nearby stairs. Close to stadiums and North side scene.

Weekend in Pittsburgh

Great house just outside of downtown. Well maintained and stocked. Million dollar view of the city on the back deck, which is main reason we booked, and would book this place again. Surrounding neighborhood is a little rough, but we had no issues or concerns. Walked to local coffee shop one morning. Easy access to interstate to get around town quickly. Hosts were great, checked on us after first night. Loved the visit and stay.

Great stay with amazing views!

We came to Pittsburgh for a family vacation over spring break. The house worked out great for being able to walk/drive to attractions but still have a quieter space to come back to relax. The host was very responsive with checking instructions and questions. We appreciated having an assigned parking space and loved walking to the neighbor coffee shop for our morning coffee. The view of downtown from the deck and sunroom were amazing and a nice way to wind down at the end of a busy tourist day. Would highly recommend!

Amazing view and location!

This property was perfect for us! The 3 floors allowed us to have space from each other. The view of the city was awesome! Additionally, we walked everywhere! Walked to the T to go to the Penguins game (we won!) walked to the strip for my favorite coffee and walked to the the Steelers game (we won!). Check-in was super easy and the hosts were very accommodating to our scheduling needs! Definitely a great place!!!!
