Vacanze in Basilicata

Abbiamo soggiornato presso il Filaro di San Basilio 8 giorni in agosto. La struttura si trova in una posizione strategica, al centro della Lucania, e permette di raggiungere non solo Matera e le spiagge ioniche ma anche la regione di Potenza. Il Filaro è di recente ristrutturazione, le camere sono ampie e pulite e immerse nel verde. I punti di forza sono sicuramente una colazione ottima e varia, il parcheggio interno e la piscina con jacuzzi che si affaccia su una vallata con panorama. A nostro parere però il valore aggiunto è costituito dallo staff, in particolare la simpatia di Nicola e la grande disponibilità di Silvia nel consigliarci cosa visitare e nel raccontarci la sua Lucania ci hanno fatto ancor di più apprezzare questa incantevole regione ancora poco conosciuta.

Abbiamo soggiornato nove notti in una suite del nuovo borgo il Filaro del Castello di San Basilio. Lo abbiamo scelto come base per poter visitare Matera, i lidi nei dintorni di Pisticci e nel metapontino, il museo archeologico di Policoro e la Lucania in generale. La scelta si e’ rivelata decisamente ottima. Alla residenza, situata accanto al Castello, si arriva percorrendo comode strade circondate da agrumeti e uliveti nella splendida campagna circostante. E’ tutto molto ben organizzato, creato con cura, gli ambienti sono arredati in modo raffinato ed elegante, bagno grande e confortevole, servizio di pulizia puntuale e preciso. Accanto alla suite e’ disponibile una bellissima piscina con annesso jacuzzi, e il tutto e’ circondato da giardini curatissimi che conferiscono una vista molto gradevole del complesso. Abbiamo apprezzato l’abbondante colazione, la gentilezza, cortesia e disponibilità del personale, e l’ospitalità dei proprietari. Lo consigliamo anche per la posizione, indicata per raggiungere velocemente Matera, ma anche a chi vuole apprezzare le spiagge circostanti, in molti punti libere e poco affollate anche in agosto; ottimo luogo anche solo per riposare.
