Quaint Little Oasis

Kim and Ken were such wonderful hosts. The apartment is just over their garage. It was clean, spacious, and comfy. We were met with such hospitality. If you are needing a place to stay, please consider staying with Kim and Ken. The view from the porch is spectacular. Definitely will be returning back!

Awesome Place

Great Place

This was a great place to stay - extremely clean with high end amenities (very comfortable king sized bed, nice pillows and plush towels) - close to town and good places to eat. We really enjoyed our stay and the animals were something we don't get to see often. Very nice.

Great location!

We really enjoyed our stay at Homestead Farm South. It’s close to Brevard, DuPont State Forest, Hendersonville, Pisgah National Forest and so much more. HFS had everything we needed and it was very clean and quiet. We really enjoyed our four nights there and we’d definitely stay there again. Ken and Kim were very nice and offered great suggestions for getting ahead of the crowds.

Wonderful Stay !!

We had a wonderful stay !! Ken and Kim were great hosts! The place was clean and close to town (restaurants, shopping, etc.). It was also close to hiking and waterfalls !! It was very updated with most everything you need. We really enjoyed the covered porch where we could sit and enjoy the mountains and of course all the animals. We plan on staying there again when we get back to the area!

Great, relaxing place to stay

Homestead Farm South was the ideal place for our recent stay in Brevard. The accommodations were perfect for our needs and the kitchen allowed us to eat some meals in when we wished. The proximity to town was very handy for trips to eat or shop. The location was also convenient to the Davidson River for fly-fishing. Our hosts were very nice and helpful. I would recommend this property to anyone visiting the Brevard area and will probably try to stay there in the future. Thanks Ken and Kim

Perfect home away from home.

I absolutely love this property. Feeling of home without being home. We came to the mountains for a quick getaway and couldn't have found a more perfect place to stay. The Burton's make sure you have everything you need but respect your privacy. Wonderful people and gorgeous apartment. We will definitely be back whenever we are in town.

We had a wonderful, peaceful stay in Brevard. We loved meeting Ken & Kim. They were great hosts. Very friendly and warm. The place was meticulous and comfy. Loved seeing the animals,, esp. holding a 5 day old goat! They gave us tips for restaurants, which were great also. Overall the property is nice. However we weren't able to sleep well. I'd suggest bringing ear plugs as there was a dog that barked most of the nights we were there. Ken was friendly and it is private.

We loved staying here! It was a perfect location. Convenient to everything we wanted to do. The owners, Kim and Ken, were super kind, friendly, responsive, and helpful. Our 9 year old daughter loved the farm animals. My husband had a great internet connection for his work. The apartment was perfect for the three of us. Very nicely maintained, decorated, and cleaned. The views out the windows and from the front deck were great. We will definitely stay here again!

This apartment is definitely a “Hidden Gem.”

The apartment was spotless, comfortable and a perfect location for beautiful waterfalls and The Pretty Place. It was private. The bed was comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and we had complementary coffee, sugar and creamer. The lights on the outside staircase were very nice for returning after dark. The farm animals were a BONUS. This place is definitely a “hidden gem.”

Fabulous, serene, and welcoming

We stayed in this charming apartment for 2 weeks while exploring Pisgah Forest and Brevard. Kim and Ken were the most welcoming and wonderful hosts; they invited us to explore their farm, included us in the evening campfire joy with their grandson and S'mores, and shared insights and recommendations of the area highlights. We felt as though we made new best friends! The apartment was clean and beautifully decorated, and provided for everything we needed. The evening view of the sunset and bucolic setting from the upstairs porch gave us a feeling of being gentlemen farmers. It is close and convenient to hiking, waterfalls, restaurants, and the towns of Brevard and Asheville. We highly recommend this vacation arrangement for the hosts' lovely welcome, the comfort of the apartment, and an authentic experience of Blue Ridge living. We'll be back, and pass along the recommendation to friends.
