"We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful location. The current administration should invest funds in the National Parks, rather than divesting from them, and rather than spending untold, mismanaged, hundreds of millions on ballrooms and personal jets. This historied encampment deserves to be kept up in a more intentional way for our children and grandchildren. Can you imagine what Skyland would look like if just a handful of millions going toward a gilded jet were spent on the deep cleaning and deferred maintenance it requires? "

"The house was just right for me, my husband, 5 year old, and pups. It had everything we needed and was very clean/ well kept. We loved hanging by the fire pit to make s’mores and watching movies in the loft. It’s close to the Luray town center as well as hiking, wineries, and breweries. There is a park across the street by the lake that has a small playground which we enjoyed. Owners were very easy to communicate with. Highly recommend this property."

"We had a wonderful time. The cabin is close to Luray and has easy access to many hiking trails. The kitchen was well stocked, and we enjoyed sitting on the porch watching the sun set.We did come in at night; the cabin's outside lights were off, and we had a hard time seeing the cabin. We drove around the gravel driveways and accidentally ended up at a different house. This prompted the Page County Sheriff's Department to grace us with a visit. We did get it all worked out and did find the right house. At the end of the gravel drive, where the cabin's driveway turns right, there is a tree with a no parking sign. It would also be helpful to have a reflective sign with the house number and an arrow pointing right, so at night, car headlights would light it up. All in all, it was a great location and a very comfortable stay."

"The cabin was really nice and very clean. The front porch has a beautiful view of the mountains which was a wonderful place to have our morning coffee. We enjoyed a walk to the nearby lake and the peaceful surroundings. The cabin is conveniently located to Shenandoah National Park and the cute town of Luray. We would definitely stay here again. "

"We loved our stay at this cozy old farmhouse! It reminded me of my great grandparents' farmhouse. It’s so peaceful and tucked away in the country, with a big yard surrounded by woods. We saw lots of deer while we were there, which was such a treat. The house had great hot water, heat, and air. The fire pit was perfect in the evenings with wood and chairs already provided, and the hosts even left s’mores ingredients! They really thought of all the little things, like shampoo, laundry detergent, and card games provided. They gave us clear directions so we wouldn’t get lost. The hosts were friendly and quick to respond. Thank you for giving us a place to enjoy "coming home to" each day after hiking and exploring the surrounding areas!"

"Excellenct location for visit to Shenandoah National Park and Skyline Drive. The house was beautify restored, the owners had even built custom cabinets out of salvaged wood. Very comfortable beds and furniture, and a well equipped kitchen that had everything we needed for home cooking. Very clean!! Quiet location, and we enjoyed watching deer in the hayfield. Not far from restaurants, shops and grocery in Luray and orchards and craft stores in Sperryville. "

"The property was perfect for our group of nine (seven adults and two toddlers). It was even more kid-friendly than we expected, with multiple play rooms, toys, and of court plenty of room outside. The kitchen was well equipped with pots, pans, cooking utensils, plates, etc. One of the best and most thoughtful VRBOs I've had the pleasure of renting!"
