"Although we only had one night, it was New Year's Eve. The fireworks and party were just outside the hotel, but it was still nice and quiet in the room. Great location for everything walkable, including a great walking path on top of the old city wall. Great food options close any time of day."

The hotel’s location is perfect — just steps from the train station, restaurants, and cafés, making it incredibly easy to explore Lucca and the surrounding area. The staff were genuinely helpful, and every restaurant recommendation they gave us was spot-on. Lucca is a beautiful town, and this hotel is the ideal place to relax and truly enjoy it. One more thing — breakfast was absolutely delicious and always fresh. The woman working each morning was especially attentive and would make us the perfect coffee without us even having to ask. "Everything was perfect. We were met at a piazza near the apartment by Isabella and escorted to the property. She helped us bring our luggage up the stairs and showed us how everything worked. A bottle of wine was waiting for us. Everything was very clean and the layout was great. The apartment is very spacious and suited our needs. The apartment is located near the wall that encircles the city center and it was delightful to stroll along the top of the wall in the evening. It is also close to coffee and wine bars and especially, great restaurants. Gianluca is a wonderful host and did everything to make our stay an exceptional experience. We had planned to stay at Apartment Via Fillungo several years ago but we had to cancel because of Covid. We are so pleased to finally come to Lucca and stay with Gianluca."
