"Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the Cherry Tree. The room and place were lovely and quite modern considering how old the building is. There was only one shower towel and half a toilet roll when we checked into our room, as well as 1 of each tea/coffee so it seemed our room was prepared for one, however the staff were very helpful to sort this for us straight away. The location was good for what we wanted, and we enjoyed a lovely evening in Chinnor (although be aware it's a 30 minute walk on country lanes/paths to get there if you don't drive in). Breakfast was also reasonably priced, if not a bit basic (such as tinned fruit and plastic cups). But the cooked food was very nice and overall good value for money at £12 each."

"The house and gardens were lovely but the floor boards upstairs were extremely creeky and every time one person (in a house of 10 people) went to the bathroom the whole house would be awake at night. So as you can imagine, we didn’t get the best nights sleep for the money we paid. The outside gate is broken too and wouldn’t close. "

"Chalford Manor provided a wonderful place for us to meet up with our extended family. There was plenty of space for our 10-person group to relax both together and separately. Astrid provided great communication before and during our stay and had a gorgeous welcome basket for us when we arrived. The house was also very accommodating for children, with a cot, high chairs, toys, and books. We stayed for a week and could easily have stayed longer!"

"The cottage is right on a very busy and noisy main road. Noise is awful and area is not charming"
