A great way to experience a circa 1880's Philadelphia neighborhood. I like the idea that some proceeds are going to charity. Breakfast was excellent, although coffee was too weak for my taste. The room was large and furnished in the period with antique lamps and furniture. Some dining options within walking distance. Thank goodness because finding the location of the B&B originally was a real challenge even while using Google Maps.

wow. What an unbelievable experience! First off, the place was absolutely stunning. The entire building is extremely well preserved and well maintained! The furniture is stunning and includes a functioning pipe organ (!!) as well as a piano —antique with GORGEOUS timbre. The decorations were next level! And the place was really clean. honestly that would have been more than enough for me but the treatment by the hosts was superb. They were so attentive and considerate really going above and beyond. I have annoying dietary restrictions and they were completely unbothered and made an extremely delicious breakfast —savory purple yam waffles with tomato and avocado. Just as I was counting my lucky stars I was offered seconds…really an exceptional experience. Very good value for money!

The Gables was a lovely place to stay! The neighborhood is charming and well located within Philly, and the b&b itself is in a charming historic house. The communal breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious, and the room had everything we needed.

Staff was amazing! They go above and beyond to keep the authenticity of the Victorian Mansion turned Bed & Breakfast. The rooms are kept with their Victorian feel, the bed was comfortable, water pressure great, individual ac units in each room. This is not a typical hotel. If you know that going in, everything about it is wonderful!

The room was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful, maybe overly so. The breakfast was fine. I would call it "fancy food." Not my kind of thing. There climate control in the room was good, but the bathroom was difficult to control as it was on the top floor with no fan that worked. The bed were firm and the pillows good. It might be good to note the rooms location on the booking. I may not have booked a 3rd floor room for my elderly mother.
