Lombard Street Comfort and Convenience

Great location for getting around Philly and for close restaurants. Parking lot close by. Helpful host after some miscommunication. Could use a little refresh but I would definitely stay there again.

The apartment sits in the middle of a vibrant Philly neighborhood, a short walk to the shops and restaurants on South Street and a 10 minute easy walk to Rittenhouse Square or to City Hall.

We walked in and walked out. When you enter the outside door to go upstairs it was filthy...I have pictures! We hoped the room was better. It wasn't! The sofa was stained, the right arm was hanging to the floor and the left was was very loose. There was an unclean odor. We walked in took pictures and walked out. We plan to try to get our money back.

Digital locks didn’t work and we got locked out at night and caused a delay in checkout. We got permission to check out by 12 instead of 10 but got locked out and this caused more delay. We ended up staying at another hotel as we couldn’t get home by mid. Host never replied to messages online but we did manage to get their number and called them. However, Technician was fast in getting here and fixing kitchen appliances. If you are a light sleeper, you may find the bed uncomfortable. It is made up of two twins, which are placed on top of a set of frames. If you have a dog, you may have to prove that you informed them before checking in as they may not know how to receive this message and question you later. We left $100 fee at the coffee table but should have made a recording for proof. We worked it out in the end but it was not worth the hassle. We left the key to the building on the unit lock but cleaner said he/ she didn’t see it…. called and so far they didn’t say anything yet. You can’t use stove and hairdryer at the same time as this will burn the breaker. You may use the hair dryer in the living room to avoid this problem. In a word, if you don’t want to take any risks, you get another place. But if you don’t ind waiting for service, it is ok.

Amazing location! Lots to do, busy streets! The biggest problem was finding parking, be ready to walk or pay 30-40 for overnight parking. We got lucky a couple of times finding street parking close to our stay. Our host was prompt communicating with issues, toilet wasn’t working when we first got there but was fixed promptly. Thank you!
