Gorgeous well kept historic property. The breakfast the the afternoon tea were outstanding. We forgot our jackets in the room's closet. The hotel staff found it. We gave them our location, a hotel in Rio de Janeiro. They mailed to us, and 2 days later we received our jackets. Outstanding hospitality service.

This hotel is even better in person! The service was outstanding, the hotel is absolutely beautiful and the rooms are really comfy & well decorated. The breakfast area is stunning with animal art/paintings all over, wonderful music playing and the food was delicious and varied. They even made “sagu” for us and this wasn’t even on their menu. 10 out of 10!

Despite having reserved a royal suite room upstairs with a garden view which we had stayed many times as a repeated guest they put us on a lower level room with bad smell , mouldy walls, no shampoo, the bedroom upstairs was very noisy, a machine outside didn’t let us sleep, the breakfast is very average, watery orange juice, very little fruits . It was the last time we will stay at this hotel.

Stijlvol hotel in het historisch centrum van Petropolis. Alle bezienswaardigheden op loopafstand bereikbaar. Goede parkeerruimte. Zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Uitstekende keuken - variend van een vers ontbijt met lokale gerechten (en niet te vergeten de lange looptijd van het ontbijt!), thee-service in de middag en werkelijke heerlijke diner gerechten in een smaakvolle ambiance. Wij hadden een imperial suite - een klassieke, geriefelijke kamer, aan de tuin gelegen. Wat gedateerd meubilair, maar dat paste geheel bij de klassieke sfeer van het hotel. Goede bedden. Prima badkamer.
