Or hostess, Marg, was so friendly and helpful and made delicious breakfasts for us. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch of this lovely property during the early morning and evenings. We were visiting while biking the lovely root river trail in the area. It was nice to be able to store our bikes in the garage at the end of each day. Our accommodations were clean and comfortable, and the skylights were a bonus. We hope to visit again.

I arrived after dark and the frogs greeted me with a beautiful chorus! My room was spacious and, as were the common areas, it was full of interesting objects and was decorated consistent with the place and its history. The nature is beautiful in the driftless region of MN where the hotel is located.

Nice stay! We were up in the attic room with the skylights. We were a little disappointed we couldn't control the AC temp, but there were fans in the room. Also, the host does not make breakfast during the week, but the kitchen is stocked and you can make your own. She was very friendly. Nice little town. Most things are closed during the week.

A perfect spot to enjoy MN Bluff country and the Root River bike trail. The Wen is right on the trail and the perfect distance for a pleasant flat ride to all the happenings in Lanesboro. Marj is a super host and prepares a scrumptious breakfast to fuel the day’s adventure. Comfy beds, restful sleep, and vacay vibe guarantee you wake rejuvenated and ready for a fun-filled day whether on the river, hiking or biking. We booked last minute and could not have been more pleased with our stay. Be a winner and stay at The Wen!

The Wen Inn was excellent, very clean, quiet, the town was friendly and the Inn is located a few feet from the Root River Bike trail. It was nice we could store our bikes inside. The owner was very very nice with suggestions and made an great breakfasts for us. We enjoyed the local museum all about the town.

It was our mistake that we booked in Peterson not Lanesboro. Nothing to do in Peterson except use the bike trail—so more time in the car than we wanted for restaurants, shops, and the theater. Everything was fine at the B and B, but nothing was fantastic. Clean and quiet, but the bed wasn’t super comfortable and the toilet ran incessantly (in a small room the noise starts to bother!). The breakfast was fine, the common rooms were fine, the big porch was fine. The owner wanted to make the stay nice—that’s clear. We weren’t familiar enough with the area though, and we hoped for more activity near us, and more special touches (at previous B and B’s we’ve had a coffee tray delivered in the morning, late afternoon and/or evening snacks laid out, and more space in the room itself). Absolutely fine! Just not fantastic.

Nice, clean and comfortable stay

Very clean and comfortable stay. Also, enjoyed hike on the Peterson Overlook Trail. Marj was very personable and a welcoming host for our recent stay for 2 nights at her Inn. Really enjoyed the nice breakfast. We would definitely consider staying there again if we are in the area in the future.
