Miserable
I can’t recall a more unpleasant overall experience with a VRBO. I only stayed one night of the 3 night stay I booked because the air conditioner did not work in the sweltering heat, and I felt unsafe in this neighborhood.There were window air units that I tried using but they never caught up with the high temperature in the house when we arrived, and the coolest it ever got down to was 81.Even checking in was made difficult because the property owner gave us the wrong code, and even after she realized her error there was no apology for her tone, even though our difficulties were 100% her fault.The neighborhood, quite frankly, did not feel safe. There were sirens and people arguing loudly outside at all hours of the (sleepless) night. We were offered no type of partial refund, or even an apology of any sort.I highly recommend avoiding this property, and this property owner, at all cost.This was, by far, the worst all around experience I’ve ever had with a VRBO property.It was a very expensive and painful lesson learned.
