Perfect little getaway

The host provided everything but food and clothes. 10 minutes from grocery store and right on the lake. Fishing off the dock, kayaking, and swimming were our main attractions. The zipline adds to the fun. 35 mins from the trail to cedar falls. No complaints, had a wonderful time.

Beautiful place!

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for two nights and this house was super clean and pretty. The fishing was great and kayaking was even better. Definitely will be coming back!!

Sunsets and lake views!

We had such a lovely stay. This was the perfect place to relax. We loved sitting on the deck enjoying nature. The view was amazing…especially at sunset! Everything we could possibly want was provided for us inside and out. Would love to stay here again!

This is the best place to get away with your family. The owner has trul ythought of everything! Kayaks, zip line, tree swing and of course the view can't be beat. We will definitely be back!

We loved our stay! The house was the perfect size for us... there were 4, it was very relaxing and enjoyable. With the lake being right there it was perfect. My girls enjoyed kayaking and swimming... and I enjoyed sitting on the dock watching them. Would definitely stay again.

Cute little house with a great view

As advertised. Clean, fun location, plenty of seating. We stayed during a cold snap, 15 degrees. The heat couldn't really keep up with those temperature. The other comments about the dogs are accurate. We were greeted by them at our car. They are friendly, but if you have a dog that doesn't play well with others (like ours), you may want to look somewhere else.

All things you may have forgotten are available when you get there, stocked nice with pots, pans, dishes. Soaps. Wonderful time fishing from the dock and kayaking on the lake. We had a nice little getaway

This is a fabulous place to stay. The views of the lake are glorious. It is close to some very good hiking. The kitchen is nicely stocked. Communication with Jason was excellent. He handled any questions I had quickly. I would definitely stay here again.

What a beautiful view of Petit Jean, Mt Magazine and Mt. Nebo in the distance. This area is beautiful. The cabin was so nice and clean. They had absolutely everything you needed on hand. So if you forget anything chances are they have it. Jason was so friendly and nice. Can’t wait to go back!!!

Fun home on the lake

Jason, the homeowner, also owns the home next door. We had two families getting together for vacation and having a smaller home next door was perfect for us. Even though it was a holiday Jason was quick to address any concerns we had. We enjoyed kayaking and the really nice dock area. Feeding the geese everyday was a plus.

Perfect Getaway

The lake is beautiful, the area is beautiful and Petit Jean State Park was amazing, if you're into hiking! If you're looking for peacefulness & relaxation away from it all, you'll get it here. Sunsets are indescribable. Chanced are, everything you need is here. They've thought of it all. We stayed 4 nights. I celebrated my #53 birthday the day we went to the park. One for the books!

Fun time !

I’m not sure if it was our providers or not but we had no service the whole time. Wi-Fi was not great, and no curtains!?! The neighbors were so close that because we didn’t have curtains it felt like we were being watched the whole time. This could have been easily fixed by adding curtains or blinds. Kayaking was super fun but two of them had holes in them so we almost sunk. Once we found working ones it was great. Besides those few small things we had a great time. Host was super kind. Lake was fun.

Look Closer

Cons: *House on the same property (no fence) within about 10-15 ft to the left of this house shares the backyard space and amenities. This additional house is not included in any of the photos. While we were there the other house hosted an initial 7 guests that grew to 15+ guests for two of the four nights. Parties were thrown in the backyard, close proximity, speaker w/ loud music, with direct line of sight into our rented house from directly behind the house. There are no curtains or blinds! Notifications to the host did not help. Those days my son and I could not enjoy a peaceful back deck, or quiet evening. If only every day could have been like the last with no one sharing the space…this would be another 5 Star review. *Dogs roam this and neighboring properties. They are nice, but bark and howl EVERY morning before sunrise at 5:30am-6:30am. This is done in various areas up and down the street including the front driveway which is just outside the bedroom window. Do not plan on sleeping in. Pros: *Kayaking on our last day to the island in the middle of the lake was fun. *My son loved the zip line when it wasn’t used by the multiple other kids staying in the house next door. Unfortunately the stay is not what I envisioned for a peaceful Fall getaway together with my boy. The host knew of the initial 7 guests that were booked next door, but didn’t mention to tell us the property would be shared during our stay. If I would have known this we would have looked elsewhere.

Only stayed 1 night. But it was perfect for what we needed. The view was amazing! We ordered a walmart delivery to be delivered there. Nice not having to leave for anything. Ordered everything we would need to bbq. Not realizing the house was stocked and didnt need most of what we ordered.
