Palms 502

Spent a week in condo at the Palms on Fort Walton Beach. Would come back in a heartbeat. The beach is fantastic. Management does a wonderful job maintaining and keeping things clean. Condo is a little on the small side but plenty of room for four adults. Patio furniture was a bit overwhelming for the space. Having umbrella and chairs set up for us each day was a huge plus. There was an Amazon echo device in the condo that was very helpful…. Great idea! Check in and check out process is seamless. Had a few hiccups that maintenance took care of quickly. Brooks and Shorey does a good job managing! We will be back!

Review

This property was not well maintained. The furniture and rugs were dirty and very worn. The refrigerator freezer shelves were damaged and rusting. The property management company, Brooks and Shorey, was excellent. We had to move out of the property because of flooding from pipes above the unit and Brooks and Shorey worked hard to locate another place for us to stay. A big thank you to them!

Uncrowded Beach

We enjoyed the unit. The king sized bed were outstanding. The kitchen was well equipped and access to two beach chairs & umbrella was included at no additional charge. Parking was not a problem.

Beach vacation in Fort Walton, Florida

At first we were a little disappointed in the appearance of the inside of the condo. The mustard color walls were somewhat uninviting. However we were satisfied with the overall experience. The beds in both bedrooms were extremely comfortable. The location and the view of the Gulf from the balcony were awesome. We feel that some updating needs to be done. A full length mirror in one or both of the bedrooms would be nice and grab bars in shower and tub is always a good feature.

Adult Spring Break

This condo was a great size for us. The kitchen seemed larger than it really was because you can walk completely through it. The beach was never crowded. We had easy access to restaurants and a convenient store nearby for necessities. There was covered parking for some of the condos, but it wasn’t large enough for our Expedition to maneuver easily. Overall, we had a fantastic time and would definitely recommend this property.

Beautiful beach condo

The condo is beautifully situated right on the beach -- would be hard to be closer unless in a tent! The listing pictures were spot on and looked just the like the actual condo. Amenities of washer/dryer in the unit, king bed in each bedroom, two options for beach lanai seating and in the sand beach chairs/umbrells were helpful. Even with covid, we felt safe comfortable. The condo was clean. Beach chairs were paired then 6 feet between. It's a smaller building so therefore fewer people on "our" section of the beach. The beach chair guy was courteous even as he ensured only Palms visitors used the chairs. The only negative was that on a REALLY windy day out of the north, wind whistled around the door and front bedroom window to the point we could not use that room for that night. This was not a quick fix so didn't mention while there, but sure the management/owner can correct this issue for future occupants. A WONDERFUL trip! Would definitely stay again.

Perfect vacation rental

The property was clean and perfectly located for a beautiful view of the beach from the awesome-sized balcony. Check in and out were seamless and communication was easy. The close proximity to grocery stores, gas stations and restaurants made our stay even more enjoyable.

The Palms 502

The condo was very clean & everything worked properly. The beds & living room furniture were comfortable. The view from the balcony was great. And a bonus was the Tom Thumb convenience store in the parking lot. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here!

Hurricane Sally vacation

As with any vacation the weather is like a box of chocolates. You never know what it will actually be until it gets there. Before Hurricane Sally blew in and after she left everything was great. Lost power for a day which was not bad with a category 2 hurricane. Did quite a bit of cooking (breakfast). Frying pans may need an upgrade soon. Had plenty of other pots, pans, bowls ,utensil's and other things. Beds were comfortable. I have had back surgery so this was a plus. Unit was as described in the pictures. Saw, lots of dolphins from unit 502 after the storms passed. A million dollar view right on the beach. I gave the cleanliness a 4 because there was glass (broken bottle parts ) on the balcony table and floor. I did not report to housekeeping .I just cleaned it up.

Great condo no follow up.

Condo was great. Pool was small and out of the way. Parking was horrible. Either you parked between columns in a very narrow space or an extremely sideways slanted parking lot. Didn’t tell us until the day before arrival that the elevators were out for our entire stay. We had elderly and a 7 year old climbing 5 flights of stairs every trip in and out Would stay there again though if the elevator situation is rectified.

Great place to stay. Convenient parking under building.

We enjoyed our room. It was a good size, well furnished, and was well worth the price. We didn't, though, find a broom or kitchen sink stopper. The dryer took ab.5-2 hrs to dry a load of clothes.

Quick beach trip

Great little place to stay. The building is a little dated, but our unit was very clean and had everything we needed. Great spot on the beach as well, not crowded at all.
