The holiday apartment 'Home Away From Home' is located downtown Peniche and is the ideal accommodation for a relaxing getaway.

This 63 m² property consists of a living room with a sofa bed for 2 people, a fully-equipped kitchen with dishwasher, 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom and can therefore accommodate 4 people.

Additional amenities include high-speed Wi-Fi with a dedicated workspace for home office, a washing machine, a dryer as well as cable TV.

A baby cot and a high chair are also available.

The holiday apartment also offers a private balcony where you can relax in the evening.

The docks are a short 10-minute walk from the property. From there you can take a boat to the archipelago of Berlengas.

We had a wonderful time in Peniche. We were there for a week just a We were there for a week just an excellent place to stay, highly recommended you will not regret it. Barbara, our host was amazing. Her son met us when we arrived he personally walked us through the apartment, showing us all the amenities how to work the TV, etc., and then told us about all of the close by restaurants and amenities. The apartment was truly a home away from home very clean and had everything you could ever think of needing on your stay. There was even a bottle of wine, a couple of different mini beers, Coke, and water in the fridge as well as a fruit basket. It was very much appreciated and very thoughtful. The balcony was great after a long day of sightseeing to sit out have a glass of wine and people watch. there’s lots of free parking around the apartment although fold your mirrors in when you get parked or going down the back alleys, there are plenty of very good restaurants within easy walking distance. Especially Il Boccone Italian restaurants excellent pizza and pasta. The staff is great and it’s very close to the apartment.

Great First Visit to Praia da Rocha!

Great location within walking distance to many restaurants, grocery, and of course the beach is right accross the street. Beautiful sunrise from the balcony. The kitchen had everything needed and more! The hosts were very responsive. Would definitely recommend.

Unser Urlaub vom 14. - 28.09.2019

Die Lage der FeWo und die Aussicht vom geräumigen Balkon ist hervorragend. Es gibt rund um die FeWo jede Menge Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Die Treppe runter zum Strand war direkt gegenüber, dichter kann man eigentlich nicht am Strand wohnen. Die Kommunikation und Einführung bei der Ankunft war ein bißchen kompliziert, da die Dame vor Ort leider kein English oder Deutsch sprach und wir kein Portugiesisch oder Spanisch. Aber hier half uns die Vermieterin über das Telefon als Übersetzerin. Auch das Willkommens oder Starter Set fanden wir sehr nett, denn wenn man abends eintrifft ist man fertig und freut sich wenn eine Flasche Wein für den Abend und das erste Frühstück sozusagen schon vorhanden ist. Leider gab es für die Waschmaschine keine Gebrauchsanweisung, so das wir eine Zeit lang googeln mussten um eine Erklärung für die nummerierten Waschprogramme im Internet zu finden. Auch waren wir überrascht ein Kinderbett mitten im Wohnzimmer vorzufinden obwohl wir nur für 2 Erwachsene Personen gebucht hatten. Desweiteren waren die großen vorhanden Schränke mit diversen Decken und Taschen vollgestellt, so das wir aus unseren Koffern lebten. Gleiches fanden wir in der Küche vor. Hier standen diverse kleine Elektrogeräte und viele verschiedene Kunststoffschüsseln und Schalen in fragwürdigen Reinheitsgrad herum. Wir würden diese FeWo wieder buchen. Mit freundlichen Grüßen T. Home from home

The property was excellent and we'll appointed. The kitchen was small but functional. There was every contraption you could need to prepare food. Each bedroom had a flat screen TV and we were able to adjust the settings to get English dialogue. We always travel with a Android TV box and it was easy to connect this to the TV and watch our Netflix series and films. Each bedroom was well set out, beds were comfortable and air conditioning came in handy. The bathroom was clean and well appointed with both bath and shower over. Plenty of storage throughout. The balcony was a good size with a table and seating to enjoy the amazing views. Overall it was a very good property, easy to find, parking got a bit tight on occasions but was off street and gated. There are only couple of gripes but these do not detract from the overall experience. Firstly there is not an English information pack so finding were to take rubbish, using the cooker, washing machine etc took a bit of guess work, bit we managed. The second is the noise of both the building and outside. The front door has an electromagnetic catch that can be heard all night, each lift has an electromagnetic catch again which can be heard. The strip comes to life at night with many street trades and a guy whom apparently is well know for traveling up and down with a shopping trolley blaring music out as he passed. Sometimes even at 1am. I wear hearing aids and even after taken these out overnight I was still disturbed by noise several nights, and unfortunately a new building project right opposite the property added noise in the morning. As I say these are only personal gripes as at my age I just want piece and quiet. I must say that the owner kept in contact throughout our stay and nothing was too much trouble. Great location right opposite the beach. Easy to find, easy check-in/out. Shops and restaurants right on the doorstep. Chinese takeaway just a couple of metres away. (Fantastic value) There were supplies for accommodating a baby / toddler. Games, dvds and more. Over all had everything we needed for our stay.

most enjoyable!

We considered ourselves very lucky every day, of our 5 week stay, to have found this beach front apartment. Our friends loved it too and everyone who visited. The location deserves a 10 star, as well as the fast replies from Barbara, absolutely the best! The pictures are quite accurate, the view is even better than shown. The kitchen is very small, but you soon get used to it. The beds were great and everything was very clean. We did not rent a car, we toured with buses and used the local buses regularly, this worked great for us. Our favorite walks are the trails along the coast, over the rocks, from Portimao to Alvor and in Ferragudo, from the lighthouse to the center of Ferragudo. The views are out of this world. Check out "Pinto Doce" in the center of Portimao if you want a good and inexpensive meal.Thank you to the Portuguese people for always being so very welcoming and helpful, it was great!

Spacious and well kept

Perfect stay for those who want to have a small apartment with two bedrooms. We were a family of four and slept well in it. The place has all the amenities it needs (washing machine, dishwasher, stove, 3 tvs, WiFi...). Maybe the only down side are the rooms are quite tiny (hence the 4 star, otherwise it would've been 5), but for the price you pay it is a bargain. Plus its right in front of the beach! The place was well-kept and clean upon arrival.

The appartment was clean and all facilities (wasmachine, microwave, water cooker, coffeemachine . . . was there. Television and airco in every bedroom. Bathroom (bad and shower) was good. We can recommend to go there if you want to enjoy the boulevard and it's shop as well as the beach and the restaurants. We had a nice stay.

Óptimas Férias !!!!

É a segunda vez que ficamos neste alojamento, que na verdade tem todas as condições que procuramos, para umas reconfortantes férias em família. Graças à proximidade da praia e à comodidade do apartamento que dispõe de todos os equipamentos necessários, é muito mais fácil gerir os horários e as rotinas das crianças, o que se traduz numa grande tranquilidade para todos. A D. Bárbara Monteiro, a quem mais uma vez agradeço, não poderia ser melhor anfitriã e prima pela simpatia e excelência como pessoa, sempre disponível e interessada para que a estadia corra o melhor possível. É um alojamento, que sem duvida recomendamos, a quem quiser passar umas férias tão boas como as nossas, sendo também para nós uma experiência a repetir !!!!

Foi uma semana de férias em cheio: bom tempo, excelente apartamento, na linha da praia, com tudo o que se pode desejar, para uma estadia tranquila, com uma vista magnifica, para a praia e para o mar! A Praia da Rocha tem uma extensão enorme de praias e uma marginal cheia de vida! A proprietária do apartamento, D. Bárbara, revelou ser uma pessoa muita simpática e está sempre disponível. São de facto umas férias a repetir, neste apartamento, que tem tudo para nos sentirmos bem.
