I loved everything about my stay here, from the wonderful staff, to the fantastic restaurant and bar downstairs, to the quaint little room upstairs. Very historic, very fun.

Very basic accommodation but good value and had a nice historic pub charm. Comfy beds and quiet at night. No air con or block out curtains and the room smelled quite smokey from the fireplace downstairs. Shared fridge and tea room that was well stocked. Shared bathroom that was basic but clean with a nice hot shower. Lovely staff. Didn't get to try the food as they were closed Mon/Tues nights.

The checkin process was really friendly and fast. Our room was clean and charming. We had dinner at the restaurant and it was delicious - it's a popular spot!! We then had a few drinks in the bar and loved that it was a real country pub and everyone was up for a chat and a laugh. We're booking to come back with friends - we loved it.

We loved this place. The hotel had such character, the best bit being the verandah. Wonderful atmosphere and great food in the pub. Staff fantastic. Being a pub it was a bit noisy on a Saturday night.

It was an authentic Aussie weekend away. Not all would appreciate the atmosphere, but we felt like a local & were well taken care of. The beds were clean & comfy & the food was excellent. Really appreciated the efforts of the owners & their staff. Thanks for having us.

Lovely old pub with character in a lovely town in the Hunter region. The managers were a lovely family who sat and chatted with us over a beer and shared some of the pub and the town’s history and local happenings. Very clean facilities.

The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. They even made a pizza for me for lunch outside the lunch time hours, and it was very nice. Everything was clean and comfortable. Unfortunately my room smelled smokey, probably because of an unused fireplace. Also the chairs on the deck were broken and dirty, they need to be replaced. I fell through the torn seat. Overall I enjoyed my stay and I felt it was good value for money.
