We stayed and Studio Hotel for the second time after the first experience was very pleasurable. The rooms are great, the staff extremely friendly, and the location is hard to beat. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms clean. Had some cute boutique shops for woman and 7 restaurants near hotel.

AMAZING! This hotel is beautiful... I felt like I was in the Garden of Eden. I loved everything about it. The food, the pool, the pristine rooms with an incredible bathroom and shower. If you are looking for a place to relax and forget the world, this is it.

From the first interaction with Steven in reception (complimentary glass of wine upon arrival), to their willingness to help. I had a race and was not able to take advantage of their buffet breakfast, however the kitchen was kind enough to prepare me a plate of food that was amazing upon my return back to the hotel. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The room was amazingly clean and well kept....no carpet anywhere thank goodness. The pool was kept pristine and had direct sunlight until about 2pm. One of the best parts was the free breakfast....it was made to order and delicious. I recommend the omelette plate. :) If you are active, the walking distance to the main beach road was definitely walkable. Awesome stay and would definitely recommend. One caveat....you want to have overnight...

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful hotel! The atmosphere was peaceful and welcoming, making it the perfect getaway!

This was my retreat experience and was delighted by the place. I see that EXPEDIA rates it at 3 1/2 star but would consider this place much higher. The place is very new and decorated in a calm, simple but yet stylish way. The setting on the side of the mountain offers stunning views and the sound of the forest is so peaceful. I was blown away by the attention of the employees, they are genuine and kind. If you are concern about the semi/raw diet...don't be!! I was so surprise on how good...

We scheduled the hotel to pick us up at airport. It was so nice to get off a long plane ride and see someone holding a card with your name on it. From SJO to Jaco was in a comfortable Mercedes van with cold water and beer waiting for us. Once we got to Club del Mar, it could not have been any better. Great experience ! Dave ,Marsha, Elezar and the staff went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable ,and everything was taken care of. They arranged a tour,massage, taxi service, meal delivery, and were always there with any questions I had. Fresh breakfasts using local ingredients were delicious. We had a wonderful Christmas week at Canal Grande Lodge! Raffael and his staff were excellent hosts who made sure we had everything we needed. The small hotel was quiet and beautifully situated. You could walk to restaurants and a few small local stores. We enjoyed Santa Margaritas down the street on 2 nights of our stay. If you know this is a small, local property that’s comfortably lived in and you don’t expect a palace for your shoestring budget, you’ll be very happily surprised by this...

We really enjoyed this resort, the staff was very helpful and always accommodating to us. We came in an off-season and felt like we were the only ones there. The food at the resort was good and the included breakfast was very tasty. Thank you to Michal, Charly, and Kevin for being awesome. I highly recommend walking the beach and taking in the views of the surfers and the mountain ranges that surrounded the resort.

The hosts Jan and Avtar gave me such a warm and inviting welcome! My original flight was cancelled, so I arrived very late at night to the property. At night you can see the stars so incredibly clear from the pool or from your rooms balcony. Waking up in the morning in this very lush oasis in the city of Atenas was so peaceful. The Backyard is one of those places that you really hesitate to leave a review about because you don’t want everybody to discover your secret spot. After visiting the restaurant over the years we finally decided to stay in the hotel on our last trip and were not disappointed. I loved this private property and the owners of the property Lazara & Alex. We rented the deluxe bungalow.
