Cold water, expensive for what you get

I booked at Hotel Arcadie 2-3 days before the date I was supposed to sleep there and received a confirmation by mail as usual. The next day they e-mail me to tell me there was a mistake in their system, they can't accommodate me but have a "superior room" in their other similar hotel - Hotel Waldorf Montparnasse - that they can provide me for the inconvenience. I arrive there - the room has a cute view of the Montparnasse tower, but is certainly not "superior" (old tapestry, 20 m-square, low ceilings, 3-in-1 body/shampoo/conditioner, basically a low-level 2/3-stars room). Still, that could've been acceptable for a night (we're speaking about a room that cost more than 120€ per night, next to a train station far from touristic areas, so still... already fishy). The lowest low was when I noticed there was no warm water. The problem had apparently started before my arrival (without notifying us the clients), and several people had complained about It already. We all waited all evening to shower ; nothing to do, no warm water. Same thing the next morning. The direction gave me 30% reimbursement for that. I honestly think they should've reimbursed us all 100%. And renovated their hotel. And lowered their tariffs. And bought soap and shampoo separately like most 3 stars. And hired an emergency plumber that could've worked overnight even if they're more expensive since that would've been the respectful thing to do towards their clients.

Hôtel choisi avant tout pour sa proximité avec la gare Montparnasse (pratique pour prendre son train à 6:00 du matin), le personnel est accueillant et agréable. Chambre propre et climatisée parfaite pour une seule nuit en famille.

Séjour très agréable.

Réceptionniste absolument adorable et très professionnelle, qui fait tout ce qu'elle peut pour satisfaire les cients. Chambre joliment décorée, salle de bains spacieuse. Propreté impeccable. Veilleur de nuit très aimable également. Femmes de chambre aussi.
