Hotel was clean, the staff was friendly and spoke English which was very helpful as our French is spotty. There are restaurants close by and the subway is just down the street. There is a bit of street noise but it wasn't bad.

We enjoyed the location, right across from Hyde Park and near restaurants and a grocery store. The breakfast buffet was quite nice. However, our room was not very comfortable. The mattress was extremely firm, and the floor tilted visibly from one side of the room to the other so that the foot of the bed was a bit higher than the head. The air conditioner was also very loud!

The staff was outstanding, seeing to my needs in the friendliest manner—from supplying converters to arranging for a taxi to CDG. My only complaint was the darkness at the 2nd floor after dark. Barely could find our room.

Clean and comfortable hotel conveniently located between multiple metro stations which makes it a great base from which to explore Paris. Caring and courteous staff. Airconditioning and other room amenities worked perfectly, especially during the summer heat wave.

The hotel was really nice - although the bedroom is a bit small and has paper thin walls, it’s in a lively area, with lots of options for dining, breakfast and a mini market in a walkable distance. The metro is a few minutes walking. We stayed with a 12yo and he liked it too!

A well-located hotel with a personal touch

I spent 5 nights with a friend at the Hotel des Gobelins. The beds were extremely comfortable and everywhere was very clean. All staff, at reception, in the breakfast room or cleaning the rooms, were extremely friendly, proud of what they were doing and very helpful. They considered themselves part of a "family", which really made a difference to our stay. There was a family atmosphere, personal touch which can't be found in many hotels! We didn't need our towels to be replaced everyday, but they were. Perhaps there could be a clearer system in place so that staff know that towels don't need replacing every day.

The best part about this hotel is location and the friendliest staff. The rooms were very clean which is important to me after some bad experiences at other hotels. The location is very convenient while being outside the busiest touriat areas. Recommend!

The property was close to two subway stations and in a quiet part of the city. Staff was friendly and spoke English. You do have to keep the room key with the front desk whike you're away which I thought was a little odd, but I didn’t have any hiccups because of it.

Our 4 person room was right, with the sofa bed extended it almost reached the wall and there is a tiny space to shuffle through to the bathroom. We backed onto the main street which was noisy with construction across the street, especially since we needed to sleep with the windows open. The staff was extremely friendly and the location is near a metro station and some beautiful walking streets in the Latin Quarter. We found breakfast just down the street, much cheaper than the €16 offered by the hotel.

We stayed 5 nights at des Gobelins in July. My family and I had a great stay. The rooms are a little on the small side, but we booked two rooms for the 4 of us and the hotel was very accommodating to have them beside one another. It was tough to have two suitcases open and walk freely around room, but was not that big of a deal. The staff were incredibly nice and helpful. The rooms were clean and bright. The street in front of the hotel can be noisy, but with the windows closed, it was surprisingly quiet. Bathrooms were clean and larger than expected. Big lobby, so not crowded when checking in. The hotel was close to Metro stations (and Buses) so very easy to get around. Lots of nice Boulangerie, restaurants and grocery stores within easy walking distance from hotel. The neighbourhood seems vibrant and safe. It was easy to get from the major attractions to the hotel as well, so it was not a hassle to go back in the afternoon to have a break. Our rooms had A/C so was very comfortable temperature, as Paris was very hot when we were there. We choose not to have the breakfast, so cannot comment on that. The hotel does have an elevator, but it is very small and tight, so quicker to use stairs if you can. Overall it was a great stay. If you are looking for a nice little hotel for good value, I would recommend Des Gobelins.

Compact comfort

Cute hotel, well located in the lovely 13th arrondissement, with everything you need close by and buses and metro to take you all over the city. Elegant simple decor. My room was an odd mix of olde-world, lovely sculpted cast iron radiator, but also AC and a modern bathroom. The room was compact and tight on places to put clothes. I was alone. With two guests the room may have felt a bit crowded. Very comfortable big bed. Mini-fridge a welcome touch. The people who run it were friendly and helpful.

Good location, comfortable room

The location of this hotel is really good - literally minutes away from a metro and 20 mins walk to the Seine. The room was a good size and was clean. The only thing was that the carpet was oddly quite wet. I mentioned this to the desk who said they had this complaint a lot from other rooms as well and they were sorry. We had a room facing onto the main road and it was very noisy all night with traffic. There was also quite a bit of noise from the hotel corridor. Overall it was comfortable, especially for the price. I would return again.

Hotel clean,nice but unacceptable - not time for check out. Around 10:35 someone try to knock the door and open while iam shower. And u can hear all noise from hall and room next door when they move or use toilet.
