A well-appointed and spacious apartment in a great location within easy walking distance of the L’ouvre. Check-in was pretty easy once we got ahold of our host. Our family of 6 appreciated the ample towels, extra bedding, and plenty of storage. Between this and other apartments we stayed in on our trip, we learned that Europeans seemingly don’t use washcloths or clothes dryers. The first is manageable but the latter is annoying when trying to keep up with vacation laundry for a large family. At least there was a large drying rack. We never used the metro, but the proximity to 2 metro stations is a plus. Note that you can hear the low rumble of the metro from the apartment. It doesn’t shake the building and it’s faint enough that it never woke us up, but it’s there, like the sound of distant thunder. Honestly, the city sounds of workers loading and unloading cargo at street level first thing in the morning was the most bothersome, but not sure you can really avoid that in a big city. All in all, this was the best apartment we stayed in during our multi-country trip, and I’d absolutely stay here again.
