The apartment is in a great location for walking to Rue Montorgueil, which has so many lovely cafes, restaurants, cheese shops, chocolate shops, and patisseries, as well as a nearby "Chapon" for the best chocolate mousse. The apt. location in the 2nd arr. also is near the St. Dennis - Strasbourg metro station, which provides access to most of the major attractions (sometimes with a transfer). However, it was not too far to walk to the Seine, Notre Dame, etc. There are many nearby supermarkets, which was great for getting water, food to cook breakfast.
The apt. manger was helpful on our first day on how to use the keys, etc. He also was very responsive to any questions via text message/sms.
This was a one-room studio, which has a pull-out couch and a full-size bed, so good for 4 people for lodgings. There is a small fridge, stove and microwave, an iron, a TV (but hard to find good channels), a round table with 4 chairs. The bathroom had a nice shower with a temperature control dial and 2 hand-held showerheads (one of them leaked a bit & should be fixed). Had to be careful closing the 2 doors and held the showerhead away from the closure so as not to get water on the floor. There was plenty of bathroom tissue when we arrived,
The apt. is next to a pizza shop and a tailor an some sort of gym across the street. There are many clothing shops (fancy gowns, but not high-end), including on the corner of rue Chenier. An Uber driver couldn't find Chenier & most go to Blvd St Dennis.
