Apartment located on the first floor of a freestone building, Haussmann style, with parquet floors, moldings and period fireplaces. Double exposure street and courtyard. Completely refurbished in 2016. Artist's apartment close to the most beautiful historical and cultural sites in Paris. 2 steps from Gare du Nord, between Canal St Martin and Montmartre.

The neighborhood:
Cosmopolitan, trendy and “boho” district, close to all traditional and typically Parisian shops. Great bakery !!
Many restaurants, wine bars, terraces and brasseries. Multiple parks and green spaces nearby (Les Buttes Chaumont, Parc de la Villette, etc.), a jogging paradise along the Canal.
Guides of Paris are available during your stay.
Two large supermarkets 100m from the house.
The neighborhood:
I love it. It’s cosmopolitan, in and “boho”. My flat is near all traditional shops as well as Indian shops. It's a very safe place where artists and Paris lovers live. Lots of films and series are shot here.


Transport:
3 mins from Gare du Nord (Eurostar, Thalys), 40 mins from Roissy CDG and Orly airports, and served by many public transport (Metro 2, 4, 5, 7, 7a; RER B, DE; Bus 38.39.42.43.46.48.65.302, and 350 direct Roissy).
Vélib 'and Autolib' stations.
Public transport:
Careful: you have no parking space and it is almost impossible to park around. But you have lots of other possibilities.
Bus, underground RER, taxis: 3 ’on foot from Gare du Nord (Thalys, Eurostar).
7 ’on foot from Gare de l'Est (Lyria and DB trains to Germany and Switzerland)
40 ’by RER to Roissy CDG and Orly airports.
Bicycle and car kiosks near the flat.

A very safe building with a double building code and a safe door. It's on the 1st floor. (lift and access to disabled people).

The apartment consists of:
-a large double living room - dining room with grand piano (tuned and reserved for people respectful of the instrument), with an atmosphere both modern and charming. Parquet, moldings, Prussian stove and period fireplace (beware, fires prohibited in the building !!).
- an independent and very well equipped kitchen (microwave, nespresso machine, dishwasher, washing machine, 4-burner induction hob, fridge-freezer, kettle, food processor, toaster).
-a bedroom with 2 twin beds (90 X 200) and a dressing room, on a very quiet courtyard. Please note, no crib.
-a large master bedroom (140 X 190 bed, and another 90x200 single bed) with parquet-moldings-period fireplace with lots of storage.
-a bathroom with 130cm shower, soap, shampoo and towels are provided.
-separate WC.
A very large sitting-room / dining-room with a grand piano (ready to be used by respectful persons). Modern and antiquated atmosphere at the same time. Wooden floors, molding, fire place: be careful, making fire is STRICTLY forbidden.
A kitchen with separate access (microwave, Nespresso machine, dishwasher, washing machine, 4 induction plates, fridge, freezer ....).
1 bedroom with 2 twin beds (90x200), a dressing room. Calm courtyard side.
1 master bedroom (140x190), with an other bed (90x190), desk and storage units.
1 bathroom (130cm shower). Soap, shampoo and towels are supplied.
Separated toilets.

• You have free access to everything but a wardrobe in the sitting room where I put away my scores. Please be kind and do not mess it up.
• I can always be reached by phone even if abroad. If I’m away when you arrive, a trusted friend will welcome you and help you with the WI-FI code and other details.


Feel like at home, no more no less (respect for old and fragile objects and furniture). And above all, notice to young children, the piano is not a toy, it is a member of the family, who is about 100 years old. Please do not put anything on it.

• Last but not least: please be nice to the neighborhood and respectful of the quietness (do not play the piano after 10pm ..)
