Cozy Panguitch Retreat Close to Lake & Town
This charming Panguitch home captures the character and warmth of this historic Southern Utah town. The home features two bedrooms and two bathrooms, all conveniently located on the ground level. A portable AC unit is available during the summer months for added comfort. Panguitch is nestled between the Markagunt and Paunsaugunt Plateaus and is known for its breathtaking scenery and outdoor recreation. The name Panguitch comes from a Paiute word meaning “Big Fish,” a nod to nearby Panguitch Lake, famous for its excellent fishing and large rainbow trout. Throughout the year, Panguitch hosts vibrant community events including the Annual Quilt Walk Festival in the spring, the Panguitch Valley Balloon Rally in summer, and rodeos, concerts, and competitions at the Canyon Country Complex and Triple C Arena just off Highway 89. July 24th brings one of the town’s biggest celebrations with parades, reunions, and rodeo events. Winter brings its own charm with New Year’s festivities at the Triple C Arena and the Panguitch Lake Big Fish Ice Fishing Derby. History lovers can also visit the historic cemetery east of town, featuring headstones dating back to the 1870s.

We enjoyed our stay in this comfortable historic home. The owners were very helpful. The location was excellent for our day trips to Cedar Breaks monument and Bryce National park.
The house was fine. It could use better upkeep! The beds were comfortable! We love old houses! The only problem we had was we rented the downstairs and there were people renting the upstairs. It sounded like a herd of elephants stomping around upstairs!

A very nice, affordable, decent-sized, rustic country home to stay in while visiting Bryce Canyon for a few days. The two bedrooms and two bathrooms made it really convenient. The kitchen was very well stocked with essentials and extras needed for cooking meals. The house was clean, beds comfortable, hot showers, with a good heating system for the cold high-altitude nights. Host was very responsive, and no issues checking in or out.
The house is one block from the main street of the town, so plenty of restaurants to walk to, and a grocery store practically next door. The drive to Bryce was a scenic 25 minute drive. Overall a really great experience, I would definitely stay there again.
All was good with the exceptions. The outside trash can was overflowing and trash was scattered everywhere. The bathtub didn’t work the last day we were there they set the water sprinkler up which covered the sidewalk and steps we had to jump off and on the porch from the side. Everything else was great. Great location everything was clean. Would do it again.
Very quaint red brick house in perfect location for exploring the area. The house is old, which adds to its charm, and is clean throughout. We had cooler evenings and mornings and we appreciated the available heat in all rooms with electric wall heaters in the bathroom. Beds were comfortable and extra linen and towels were provided.
It was great location close to Bryce Canyon National Park.
It was awesome!

This was the perfect home away from home for our Southern Utah adventure. Close to the national parks and other beautiful hiking spots. Grocery store was within walking distance and the kitchen had everything needed for quick meal prep.
We had a great time with no problems. The house met our needs which included exploring Bryce Canyon NP and the surrounding area. We would use this house again and will recommend it to others.
We had more house than we absolutely needed. The charm of this old house was enjoyed. The grocery store was just minutes away. The responsiveness to any of our questions was 5 star. The ability to do our laundry on the property was a nice benefit. Bryce Canyon was 30 minutes away. We enjoyed our stay!

It was OK. A few improvements on the property like queen beds, new kitchen sink, yard enhancements, would make it excellent.

Our visit was excellent. We immediately felt right at home. We loved the big country kitchen and large living room. The space was lovely, clean, and suited our needs with two comfortable bedrooms each with their own bath. It had all the amenities plus 5G wifi and a great washer dryer. We were pleasantly surprised with the large soaking bath tub which helped us unwind. Super helpful to have Joe's Market next door. Bryce and Red Canyon are very close. Would definitely recommend it. Family Time kept in good communication. We are intrigued to learn about the Red Brick Homes built during a certain era.

Not impressed
Booking and checking in was easy, and the location is great, especially for Bryce Canyon. The bedding was clean, the beds were comfy, bathrooms were well stocked and clean, and the house stayed warm.
But our experience overall wasn't great. It doesn't look like this place has been maintained outside of the bare minimum. It seems like cleaning is just a quick sweep, soap restock, sheet change, and maybe counter wipe down, because the rest was dirty.
Our son’s feet were filthy after just a few minutes of walking barefoot, so it seems like the floors weren’t mopped. There were spider webs all over the place, several with live spiders we ended up having to remove. The window sills were covered in dirt, cobwebs, and dead bugs. There were old combs and flossers in drawers and under furniture. Many of the windows were so filthy we couldn’t see out of them.
There was some general disrepair too. The back door is full of these weird cuts that let in cold air at night. Also, there’s just a little pillow pushed up against the base of the door to try and minimize draftiness instead of good weather stripping. Luckily the heater in that room works well!
Also, just since it’s an old house, be aware that if you're in the lower part of the house, you’ll hear every movement from upstairs because the floors are so squeaky.
I know I could have had property management send out someone to do a deep clean, but I sort of resist that on principle. It’s not my job to make sure the house is clean and ready for guests. My job is to leave the property as good as (if not better than) I found it. I just felt like it’s not up to me to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
Still, I was prepared to give a decent review. But after we left, I felt since the house was so dirty that I was justified in at least asking for a refund on the cleaning fee. They offered to send someone to clean, but since we had left I figured that would happen anyway. I suggested a deep clean and then asked for the refund twice. After the second time, they stopped replying altogether, not even saying they couldn’t or wouldn’t. While I understood going in that I likely wouldn’t get the refund, it didn’t feel great to be ignored. (For the record, this review is NOT an attempt to still get the refund. I’m just disclosing how the interaction contributed to my final review.)
So all in all, the combination of low cleaning standards and being ignored resulted in a forgettable experience.
Everything was great except the lock on the door was problematic. Also, we experienced the same issue with the noise from upstairs tenant that other reviews have mentioned. They attempted to be considerate but the floors are old and squeaky.
This was advertised as accommodating a family. There was one cereal bowl and no full sized dinner plates. The coffee maker didn’t have the correct filters. We purchased the correct ones so not you’re good to go there. The unit is loud with tenants upstairs but we had earplugs for sleeping. I’ve visited many VRBO’s and generally enjoy them very much. This one fell short for sure. I’m still a customer. Not a horrible experience; just not great.

Property was very clean, and as advertised.
Overall, everything was fine. I was quite impressed with the amount of helpful information we received, I even received a text as we were driving to the property making sure we had directions, local contact #s, etc-all very helpful. One thing that was confusing to me, however, if is that I received communications from both VRBO and Familytimevacationrentals.com, so I was (and am still not) quite sure just who I was dealing with.

Small and cozy
Cute little old house, with squeaky floors and charm. Glad to find that it has a grill. If you try to sleep 6, however, one of you will be on the floor. 1 queen, 1 full futon, and 1 twin. that's it.
Easy to find in small old Panguitch, the real find is the Tandoori Taqueria restaurant across the street.

Great Location to visit Parks
This was a comfortable property in a quiet area. The location is great for Bryce and Zions. The decor is eclectic and the owners good to correspond with. We had no issues with the property and would plan another stay here when in the area.
