Portovenere, a llovely little town not far from Pisa. In summer time, a boat links Portovenere to the villages of the Cinque Terre. It is however beautiful to walk from Portovenere all the way to Riomaggiore. Its not a short walk (count 4-5 hours), but it is a beautiful coastal walk.

"The proprietor was very friendly and accommodating. Lovely room and excellent, ample breakfast. Shower is tight for a plus-sized person. Parking very easy, but the peculiarities of house numbering in Carrara make it difficult to find the B&B location, which is located not near #18 and behind another group of houses numbered 16. Still, I highly recommend this B&B!"
