If you are looking for a nice little hotel without the big chain hotels with a retro Palm Springs vibe, this is it! Rooms are nice and spacious with very cute art and decor. The pool area has a relaxing vibe. The hotel is 21 and over so it’s not the family hotel for you. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. I enjoyed the complimentary tray snack that was passed by the pool. We very much enjoyed the food. The Mountain View’s are great and it’s so close to the downtown to walk to. No car needed once you’re there. I would definitely recommend if you are looking for a place to unwind from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. No tv’s in the room which also makes a great place to escape. Just sit back and relax!

I really loved the quiet atmosphere and the serene setting. The pool and hot tub area was great as well as a sitting area under a canopy. One thing that surprised me was the daily $40 grounds fee that was added onto my bill at the end of my stay. I was told it was for the use of the bikes and the pool area. This was quite a surprise as we used the bikes once for a 2 hour ride. Most of the tires were flat and the ones we chose squeaked and were not at all comfortable. I may have missed this charge when I booked but you would think at the price of the room, this would be included. I really loved the stay, the rooms were perfect, this just left a really bad taste in my mouth.

Loved it here. It’s such a great atmosphere with nice staff. The rooms are very clean and the property overall was very well designed. Very close to all the fun restaurants and bars too.

The property was so clean, the breakfast was delicious, the pool and shuffle board area was cute as a button. The hotel is at the center of Downtown Palm Springs so you could walk to everything. There was a very kind staff member ( I cannot remember his name unfortunately) who was so kind and hospitable. Unfortunately, some of the other younger staff members were not as friendly or accommodating. Overall, we had a lovely stay

The best thing about this hotel is its location. Right in the middle of all of the Palm Springs downtown attractions. The common areas are attactive with the navy blue and white decor. The pool area is quite nice and relaxing. Our room was right beside the reception / breakfast / restaurant area. While convenient, the room itself was rather small and very dark and when we opened the door we felt like everyone who was in the lobby or going to breakfast was right on top of us. It also was a little musty smelling until we got the AC working. I think many of the other rooms looked nicer and larger, although some were also dark. The couple we were traveling with stayed in a much larger room, but their AC went out on the third day and they spent two miserable nights until they got a new room. Also, the breakfast, which was included, was OK but the same limited options were offered every day. Each room does have interesting decorations, includinge bookshelves, books, knick-knacks, and a fully stocked mini-fridge and mini-bar with items for purchase. There is NO TV in the room or anywhere on the property. We had lunch there and it was very good. If we go back, we probably would try another place. But this one I would rate a solid B+ overall.

Our stay was fine. The hotel is an older property that has been updated with pretty decor, lots of instagrammable moments, etc. That said, there was one thing that really put me off about our 2 night stay. We had prepaid for the room before arriving. When we checked in they advised a hold would be put on my credit card for $200 ($100 for each night). Fine, that is normal. After the first night’s stay, I saw another $320 hold had been added. After our second and final night stay another $615 had been added. By the time we checked out, totalling up these holds, the hotel had put $1135 on hold on my credit card. We hadn’t purchased anything, got drinks, no food. I asked about it at reception and they told me ‘their system is weird’ and that ‘the holds will drop off in 7-10 business days’. Not a great explanation, I was irritated. I spent the next 7 days checking my credit card online, daily, to make sure the holds were released. Overall the stay was fine but if you need room on your credit card for other purchases watch out, they’ll add holds with abandon. 🙄

When looking online at the many hotels in Palm Springs, the photo of the charming blue and white chairs in the palm-accented breakfast area of the Holiday House hotel caught our eye. After reviewing the website and seeing that the hotel was downtown, we thought it looked like the perfect boutique hotel option. When we arrived, the Holiday House turned out to be even better than we imagined. The bright, bold blue and white-themed decor looks like it's straight out of a David Hockney painting--and every detail of the design has been carefully thought out. Our "Best"-level room was worth paying extra for and was roomy and comfortable. The breakfast area is cozy and the pool is lovely and relaxing. And even though you are only a block from downtown Palm Springs, you feel like you are in a private resort hideaway. The hotel draws a casually chic and quiet over-21 crowd, adding to the tranquil, design-forward ambiance.
