Casablanca, OFF El Paseo is situated in the heart of Palm Desert, a half block off El Paseo. Known for being the Rodeo Drive of the desert, the El Paseo Shopping District is comprised of The Shops on El Paseo and The Gardens on El Paseo. Together, these shopping centers create an impressive mile-long retail experience that is unlike any other locale in the region, providing customers with a large selection of locally owned boutiques, high-end shops, and prestigious international brands. The strip is host to many events throughout the year, Fashion Week El Paseo, Palm Desert Food & Wine Festival and the El Paseo Art Walk.
El Paseo is also home to many of Palm Desert's most popular restaurants. Guests staying at Casablanca can easily walk to Daily Grill or (the owners' personal recommendation) Wilma & Frieda's Café for breakfast or lunch. For dinner, favorites like Mastros, Eddie's Vs, Mitch's, Sullivan's and many more are a short stroll away.

Casablanca, Off El Paseo:
The estate was originally built in 1993 as a Bed & Breakfast. Changes in the short term rental regulations by the city of Palm Desert, combined with the unique zoning of Casablanca, create a unique, one of a kind rental opportunity for guests to stay in the heart of Palm Desert, just off infamous El Paseo, in their own private boutique hotel – Casablanca. With no expense spared, the year long renovation focused on all the amenities one would come to expect in a five-star resort setting, while enjoying the privacy of a private residence. Since the home was originally built as a bed and breakfast, all bedrooms offer en suite bathrooms, king beds, vaulted ceilings, large flat screen TVs and personal thermostat controls. This insures everyone gets a comfortable room and private bathroom. The former manager's office was converted to a Moroccan lounge with a blue monochromatic theme. This room can also be converted to a full bed configuration for kids or adults to sleep in. In total, Casablanca offers 7 en suite bedrooms with king beds, the Moroccan lounge room and eight full bathrooms.
When dining in at Casablanca, we have a full kitchen and bar both inside and outside the estate. There are two custom oversized dining tables, both inside and outside. The indoor table is a ten-foot custom circular table that seats 14+ with a six-foot lazy-susan, otherwise one could never reach the items in the center. It likely the largest circular dining table you have ever seen. The table is an utterly unique piece that is great for hosting large groups and even better for photo opportunities on special occasions. For nice evenings, the outdoor table seats a similar 14-16 guests, under the shaded overhang, with music, fan for a breeze and misters to keep the temperature down. We recommend hiring a private chef to prepare the food, so you can prepare the drinks.
The backyard of Casablanca has a private resort feel comprising chaise lounge chairs, daybeds with privacy curtains, commercial misting system, heated pool, full outdoor kitchen/bar and vast grassy area for outdoor movies, group yoga, games, etc. The property was designed with the intention of hosting and entertaining small to medium size groups; family vacations, golf retreats, bachelor/bachelorette parties, yoga retreats, corporate functions/retreats, and small weddings. The common spaces are designed to accommodate private gatherings with a focus on people interacting, eating, sleeping, drinking, and working together.
