Liberty Palace was a perfect fit for us. Close to the train station, walking distance to all the tourist attractions, helpful staff and a nice clean room! 5/5 for us!
This was one of the better stays during my tour of Sicily.
Communication (Chiara) was very easy and friendly. The room was clean and comfy. Good bed and pillows. Great to have a kettle and coffee machine(1 daily pod supplied).
Very short easy walk from rail& bus station (pavements are very uneven but my suitcase wheels good enough)
Vintage lift … but functions well. (4th floor)
Streets are noisy but the windows and shutters worked well enough too.
My case was safely stored - as I arrived before check in time👍.
I would stay here again and recommend.
What didn’t I like?
Not much - the district perhaps - as a solo female- I stayed in when it went dark but was content to do so I had a good book to read 😊
The hotel was steps from the central train station. Check-in process was clear and staff was pleasant and helpful. Room was clean and roomy with good A/C but only getting clean after 3 days. Though it was well-maintainted inside, the surrounding area isn't that clean and full with graffiti.
The room was impeccably clean and very comfortable. All the staff we met were lovely, friendly and helpful with some good tips on where to get a good coffee and breakfast (Cafe Tourino across the road). Easy walk to the markets and the main street, a slightly longer but pleasant walk down to the harbour. The location means there is street noise but we didn’t find it an issue. Lovely stay for a few days in Palermo.
Liberty Palace is a unique authentic Sicilian B&B that is conveniently located 2 blocks from the train station. The staff is friendly and helpful. The room is one of 6, large and very comfortable and clean. It's on a quiet street so you don't realize you're in a large city.
This hotel is a part of an old building that has the traditional characters of an old Italian building. We like it. The building is shared with other residential units, only occupying the 4th floor of a quadrant. The room was small but clean and very minimalist. The street is a little shabby but we feel comfortable. 10 minute wall to the touristy area. The receptionist is only here part time. Communication is very difficult thru Expedia messaging. The first day I was asked to take a picture of the code to enter the building but unfortunately my phone ran out of battery. I used my wife’s phone to contact them but no one answered. We were waiting in front of the building and found the cleaning man on the way out and he made a few calls and then rode away and nothing happened. We ended up going to a cafe to recharge our phone and got in.
The plumbing system makes a lot of noise when you flush
Pros; near the train station
Cons: minimal service
Rooms very clean and staff kind and efficient. The location is close both to city centre and Central railway station. The only remark is that it is not available any more the breakfast.
Really good location and nice staff. Most interesting place and lots of restaurants and bars within walking distance. But no breakfast available, so no b&b. And the noise from the warm water heater was really loud, not just the one in our room, but also the room next to us. Could be a bit noisy from the street, but was not a problem for us.
I really liked the place because it was near the bus and train station and walkable around the tourist spot. The room is clean and big for 2 people. I would really recommend this place☺️.
This is a boutique very small hotel located very close to the main train station in an area that is dirty and run down and a little daunting if arriving at night. The hotel and staff are very good. Access to all main sights in Palermo is easy.
