The Neighborhood:

Kuau Plaza is located along Maui’s scenic North Shore, just outside the charming town of Paia. The area offers a relaxed, local atmosphere with beautiful coastal scenery, nearby beaches, and easy access to some of Maui’s favorite spots. You’ll be close to Mama’s Beach and Mama’s Fish House, while Paia’s colorful shops, cafés, galleries, and restaurants are just a short drive away. The area is also a great base for enjoying Maui’s North Shore, including nearby Ho‘okipa.



Kuau is a wonderful choice if you’re looking for a quieter, more laid-back Maui experience while still being close to Paia and the island’s beautiful coastline.



Getting Around:

Kuau Plaza is best suited for guests with a car, especially if you plan to explore different parts of Maui. Paia town is a short drive away, while nearby beaches and attractions along the North Shore are easy to reach by car. The area is considered car-dependent, although some nearby spots can be reached on foot.



Maui Bus service is also available in the area, with Route 35 connecting Paia and nearby communities. Taxis and rideshare services can be convenient for shorter trips.
