AMAZING stay. I was on a solo mini trip and could not have been happier. Lovely location, super staff, lots of little touches to make you feel welcomed and cared for, hot coffee in the morning, amazing view...just 100% amazing.

Unique Place to Stay on the Eastern Shore

Sandaway is an amazing B&B. It is honestly the “best kept secret” of places to stay on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. The stunning water views and peaceful environment never ever disappoints. If you’re looking for a unique getaway, Sandaway is the spot!

The Sandaway is a very peaceful and relaxing place to stay. We chose to stay there while attending the Waterfowl Festival in Easton. Oxford is a quiet town and we enjoyed coming back to the Sandaway to relax and watch the sunset over the river. We also loved the antique furniture in the common areas, as well as in our room. We had a room on the second floor with a porch overlooking the river. One night, it was fairly mild, so we kept the door open so we could hear the waves washing up to the shore. The owners are very nice and helpful, and work hard to ensure their guests are happy. We will definitely come back to stay here.

Amazing Waterfront B&B!!

Sandaway is a great place for a peaceful and relaxing vacation. If you like the serenity of a beachfront property with tons of history, then Oxford is the place to enjoy the sunrises and sunsets- and everything in between.

Very quiet, off the beaten path kind of place. It was a bit pricey on a long weekend, but we had a wonderfully leisure time there. Wild rabbits were running on the lawns, so cute! The inn keepers were attentive and gave us a few "care packages", we also loved the cucumber soap. The only downside is the lack of food choices in town, I think with this location it may have been a good thing to pay extra for breakfast on site.

We were updated by th owners due to heat wave they upgraded us to a room that was cooler. Best part it had a balcony which we enjoyed. The inn was perfect for our stay.Wish we could of stayed more nights. We will definitely be back

Loved this gem of a hotel in Oxford. Perfect for a short getaway. Lovely property with chairs to sit right by the water and enjoy the sea breeze. Room was adorable with a view of the water. Oxford is a cute little town and everything is easy to get to from the hotel. Highly recommend Sandaway.

Loved the water view, walkability to the quaint village of Oxford, and proximity to the ferry. The room was very spacious, clean, quiet, and comfortable. Coffee, Keurig, cream, and sugars were provided, along with a spacious refrigerator. A treat bag with snacks and seltzer drinks was provided upon check-in, which was very smooth and easy. Unfortunately, most stores and eating options were closed Monday and Tuesday. No breakfast was offered other than walking into the village for a breakfast sandwich and/or yogurt for an extra charge. The rooms are very pricey and I would like a decent breakfast included within that price.

Sandaway was the perfect 3 night stay for my husband and me. The room was beautiful, the sheets and bed was luxurious, and the views of the water in our screened in porch was fantastic. The owners couldn't do enough for us. The communication was great and they left plenty of snacks and coffee which was appreciated. I asked for a few more towels and it was delivered to our door within minutes. We will definitely stay again. Thank you Gibson Family!!

What a wonderful place !So many extras made it feel like home …. Extra trash cans in the room and 2 in the bathroom!… lots of chairs outside and special hammock like chairs on the porch! So many nice touches … lots of lamps on the room … nice … the only downside was NO BREAKFASTS! When we pay $ 300 a night we expect breakfast … and the place the owner told us we could go and buy breakfast was closed the whole time we were there for 3daus! Just a little continental breakfast would have made this perfect

We really enjoyed our stay at the Sandaway. It was quiet and peaceful in a wonderful spot, right on the water, next to the yacht club. We loved walking around Oxford, a quaint and historic little town. A quick strolling over to the Market for breakfast sandwiches and the Social Cafe for great espresso based coffees and pastries. Contactless check-in was a breeze. Having prepaid, we found our designated parking spot, went to our room and our key was in the lock. Complimentary water bottles and goodies thoughtfully welcomed us. Our “room” turned out to be a suite with full kitchen, sitting area and two TVs. The feel of the place, the bathroom etc, is pretty rustic and dated, but that didn’t bother us at all. It felt appropriate to the feel of the lovely town.
