"Breakfast menu didn’t have many vegetarian options. Staff was fine. Hotel was crowded, no place in the dining area for everyone to sit in, but they did open their meeting room to accommodate guests."

"The room was spacious and clean with a nice river view. The staff was terrible - at the check in and in the morning during entering to breakfast area. The check in was slow and the receptionist was just repeating the same phrases Great,Perfect without answering any of my questions and in the end just gave me a paper and told me all the info in on it. Well,it is nice to have that paper but would be nice also to have some of my questions answered even though the answers were on that paper. In the morning (at 7.10 am when we came for breakfast,the receptionist who asked our room number said that she has already seated 4 people under our room’s number,amount of guests and under MY name. I suggested for her to see my passport to see that I am actually who I am and I am here and not inside the breakfast area. She was rude and her facial expressions as well weren’t nice. She said ok whatever JUST GO. I don’t think that this behaviour corresponds to a 4 start hotel. The breakfast was fresh and delicious with variety of options. The room was very quiet-I couldn’t hear any noise from other rooms around. The pool area was well heated with a lot of towels and seats. Overall,the hotel is great for staying if you don’t mind the staff. "

"Great location, fun playroom for kids, only blip is that arcades are paid. Being a guest, you'd imagine the arcades would be free. otherwise, all was great!"

"Spacious yet remarkably sterile rooms with little to no character. Note that this listing shows up if you check parking included as part of the search parameters and yet no instructions follow regarding how to book parking. We ended up shelling out an extra $38 for a parking lot that we hadn't planned for."

"The property is centrally located in the capital, surrounded by many restaurants, and has a lovely atmosphere. The hotel staff is fantastic and responded positively to my request to upgrade to a room on the upper floors. This is my second visit, and I have no reason not to return to this hotel the next time I'm in Ottawa. No other hotel can offer such quality at such an affordable price."
