"Had a good time in the house with our friends. A warm and friendly welcome from the owner/family of the house. Very nice pool and view over the valley. The pizza oven are great. The gravel road to the house are a little steep and bumpy, but we got used to it."

"Beautiful property and surroundings but it caters mainly to Germans. Reading materials in room was all in german as well as the majority of tv channels. Bring iron if you need one - rooms don’t have one one (which to me seems strange for a high end property). Also, breakfast was 19 euros per person per day - I would recommend including this in price of room. Way too expensive. "

"We spent a most incredible week at Montalto Tarugo, not only because of the magnificent setting with our own 'garden' and extensive views over the Valle Metauro landscape, but for a great sense of calm and relax. "Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was clean and a good location. The views were fantastic. Elisa was our contact and was super friendly and helpful. The only thing that could be improved from our perspective was the sofa or comfy seating. With 2 children under 10 who go to bed earlier than usual, we found the small 2 seater sofa extremely uncomfortable in the evenings. There was also wasn't enough comfortable seating for all 4 of us other than the sofa and plastic dining chairs....

"We drove in late in the evening and was delighted to wake up to a tasty breakfast buffet and the stunning location in the hills. It was a very spacious room with modern amenities. "

"The staff we friendly and efficient. The hotel is very comfortable with large rooms and a wonderful buffet breakfast. The AC in the rooms is limited to 21 degrees (it never managed under 23!) which is annoying. Its not cool enough in the hot weather. Hotel was great for a passing through stop over but a car is definately required here."

"The location is perfect with beach, bars, restaurant and shopping all in easy walking distance. The view from the hotel are immaculate up along the entire coast. The staff were helpful, friendly and proactive. We accidentally left our laptop and iPads in the room safe on check out but we received a call to let us know this had happened and arrangement were made for us to pick them up conveniently. The hotel itself is virtually brand new and is excellent value for money. Would not hesitate to stay there again "

"Pros: - Hotel room was clean - Good WiFi connection - Great shower water pressure - Balcony - Helpful Staff - Good AC - Decent Breakfast included with the room rate - Across the street from the beach - Walkable area - Safe area around the hotel Cons: - The hotel is about 15 mins away from historical center and the train station, not too bad. But when you have heavy luggage in the hot heat seems longer lol. - FYI: To get to the historical center or train station from and to the hotel, you have to walk through these underground long tunnels to get to the other side of town. I went during the Summer Jamboree Festival, so there was a lot of activity and traffic still during midnight-AM hours. Although I felt the city to be safe, as a “solo woman” traveler walking late at night back to and from the hotel, it can be a bit creepy when there isn’t much traffic very late at night. - There is no nearby public transportation near the hotel, which is a bummer. Closest public transportation is 15 mins away by foot. "
