When finally able to track down contact info for the vacation property company that listed the rental they had to share hotel front desk info and that’s when we learned name was Windrose On Hudson. Very stressful situation- enjoyed historical location. Great facility, not so great TV/streaming set-up… cable. "

"This was a warm and inviting space. CC even offered me breakfast. I was a single woman in for a class reunion and had be somewhere on Sat and Sunday mornings. It was lovely coming back to relax and read. The space is small perfect for a couple with a young person. The patio over looks the river. "Interesting location! This is on the grounds of the former Croton Management Academy and feels a little like a college campus, with a walking trail, on site restaurant/bar and a cafe. There is no in room coffee (but a Keurig with a full selection of fresh milks in the lobby), but staff are helpful and the location feels tranquil and off the beaten path."

"I booked for 5 nights. I paid in full upon arrival. After the 3rd day, I received an additional charge. After inquiring by calling the front desk, the receptionist informed me that I was checked out of my room. While visiting with my family, I had to race back to the hotel 49 miles to straighten out the discrepancy, because, of course, I couldn't reach the manager by phone. Zero apologies from the staff for the MAJOR inconvenience that that caused me. I will never stay here again."

"I appreciated the convenience of this hotel, but it is not the type of accommodation I would choose to stay at again. The room was very small and uncomfortable, and there was a noticeable urine-like odor. It was clear that the room had not been cleaned thoroughly, as the smell was quite strong. I believe the shower curtains may be the source of the odor and should be replaced. I also had to request that my room be cleaned, which gave me the impression that housekeeping may only service rooms after guests check out. On a positive note, the front desk staff were accommodating and had no issue moving me to a different room when I requested one. The air conditioning, heating, and hot water all worked well. Since I am familiar with the area, parking was not a problem for me; however, guests who are unfamiliar with the neighborhood may find parking frustrating and difficult to navigate."
