Family Reunion
We enjoyed the location and amenities offered by Encoure at Reunion.
However, while we expected some normal wear on the house, we didn't anticipate this extent.
The back slider has an alarm attached. That appears to be standard in this community. However, this door had to be perfectly aligned with an indicated mark on the door to keep the alarm from sounding.
We were not able to use the theatre room as the equipment was not working properly. Many of the theatre lounger chairs were broken. The rugs were soiled and stained. The sheets in one bedroom were soiled to the point we had to strip the bed and wash the sheets prior to going to bed. Another bed had no bottom fitted sheet. The family member had to sleep directly on the mattress. The air hockey sometimes worked and sometimes didn't. The television in the game room would only allow one channel and we weren't able to change the channel. One refrigerator was damaged in the freezer area. It was frosting over to the point one drawer inside the freezer wouldn't open. It was reported. A stair tread was cracked at the edge which causes it to dip down if you happen to step too close to the edge of the stair. This caused my foot to slip as I came down the stairs. It was reported but not repaired during our stay. One dishwasher wouldn't close completely and the service person came and repaired it. One shower door wouldn't close and had to be held shut when showering. Several toilet bases either wiggled when sat upon or were off kilter. The blue paint in one bedroom had multiple spots where there was once clearly something spattered on the wall and cleaned which left large faded scrubbing marks on the wall. It was unsightly and the room really should repainted. Each bathroom had bare minimum numbers of towels, wash cloths, hand towels. I imagine the expectation is that the guests will launder them as needed. Toilet paper is limited. You'll need to buy your own if you stay for more than two days. Several rooms had a remnant toilet paper roll with no additional roll left in the bathroom. One bar of soap was provided for each bathroom. When we arrived, the television remotes were not in the correct rooms. We had to locate the television that each remote matched. One bedroom never had a working television.
We enjoyed each other's company regardless that the house was not as anticipated and not all touted house amenities could be utilized. The water park was great as was the swimming pool at the house.
