Cosy little studio by lake & shared lakeside Sauna

Summary:

Cosy little studio by lake Längelmävesi in central Finland. There is a separate barbecue house and platform by lake in your use. Other facilities includes outdoor toilet and a separate Sauna -building which is in common use with neighbour cottage. A traditional Finnish holiday home with one room. Kitchen is equipped with running, good to drink water, basic kitchen and kitchen amenities, fridge and dining table. In living room there is a sofabed. Bedroom is equipped with double bed (140 cm)



The Space:

This beautiful 30 m2 cottage is located on the shore of lake Längelmävesi, and comfortably accommodates 2-3 people. The yard has additional accommodation for 2 people. You can admire the magnificent lake views from the courtyard or the glass deck at the traditional cottage.



From the lakeside sauna you can take a trip down the stairs to water and refresh yourself. The cottage has a private beach and a rowing boat is at your disposal. If you have your own canoe or kayak, you can easily paddle from the shallow kayak pier. In the bbq house you cook sausages and other delicacies for the whole group.



COTTAGE GENERAL EQUIPMENT

The beautiful cottage has a living room, kitchen and bedroom. The cottage has electric heating and running water. The rent includes firewood, electricity and a boat.



BEDROOMS

The bedroom has a 140 cm wide double bed.

The living room has a sofa bed for 1-2 persons and a loft for 1-2 persons.

The old salt barn in the yard has a decorated summer room with sleeping places for 2 people.



If you need linen and towels you can rent them from us separately for 10 e / person / stay.



KITCHEN AND GRILLING

The modern kitchen has cooking utensils, crockery and a dining table for 4 people. The kitchen has an electric hob, coffee maker, kettle, refrigerator as well as a microwave. Fresh water comes from the well and is ideal for drinking and cooking. There is a barbeque house in the yard with a wood-fired grill.



SAUNA, SHOWER AND WC

The cottage has a shower and an ecological outdoor toilet in the yard. The traditional lakeside sauna by the lake is shared with our other rental cottage. The sauna comes with cold water from the lake and is heated in the tank on the side of the stove. Sauna heating takes less than an hour, after which you can enjoy!



The sauna does not have a shower, but you can heat water with the stove traditional way. Heating and sauna shifts have always been agreed flexibly between the neighboring cottage. For example, sauna shifts can be implemented easily so that first to heat up the sauna uses the first shift and then informs the other cottage.



YARD AND BEACH

The cottage yard is a natural lawn where you can walk along. The pier has a small seating area for 4 people.



There is a shallow kayak platform on the beach from where you can paddle to lake with your own kayak or canoe. In a rowing boat you can go fishing or rowing. We can provide you with boating vests if you wish - please let us know what size you need.



FISHING

If you want to fish and you are 18-64, you must pay the state fisheries management fee. Example prices: 6e / 1 day, 15e / 7 day. The most convenient way to make a payment is through the Eräluvat online store. You can also rent a quiet electric outboard motor from us for 15eur a day.



PETS

Unfortunately pets are not allowed in this cabin. See our other destinations - we also have pet friendly cottages!



LINEN AND TOWELS

Bed linen and towels if needed 10 e / person / stay.



FINAL CLEANING

You can pre-order final cleaning or during your stay. The final cleaning costs 50 €. If you do the cleaning yourself, the cottage has the necessary cleaning tools and supplies. Clean up only on departure day!



However, if you order a final cleaning, do this:

• Wash the dishes and replace them

• Take the garbage to a waste disposal site

• Collect bottles and cans in bags

• move furniture to their own place

• leave linen in a stack on the bed

• Take away the groceries you brought with you



If you do the final cleaning yourself, do the following in addition to the above:

• ventilate the carpets outdoors

• wipe the floor with a damp mop

• wipe the tables and tops with a damp cloth

• clean the toilet and sauna

• Take the garbage to a waste disposal site

Idea is to make sure that next guest gets a clean and cosy welcoming.



Guest Access:

The cabin is located in Orivesi, about 60 km from Tampere. The drive from Tampere is less than 1 hour and from Jyväskylä 1.5 hours. You need a car to get to the cottage.



The Neighborhood:

Next to the cottage is our other rental cottage with which the shore sauna is shared. Sauna heating and sauna shifts have always been arranged flexibly.

You need a car to get to the cottage and shop at the grocery stores.

Other Things to Note:

We recommend that you bring outdoor shoes, warm, rainproof clothing, and rubber boots. The beach sauna has steep stairs to the water, so bathing in a beach sauna is best for adults who are able to move normally.
